Homed
Homing requirements: Luna needs a family who will enjoy her social nature but also promote her training needs, supporting her as she learns to gauge and command her energy and enthusiasm. Luna needs a secure garden with exit management strategies within the family. She needs a companionship home where she is inclusive and central. She will need time to settle and could be a little vocal when concerned so not for flat living. Luna may enjoy another dog in her life. May be too 'live wire' for cats.
Her Story: Luna was found stray full of milk having obviously recently had puppies. No one claimed her. Luna is now spayed and just going through vaccination process.
Advert: Luna means 'White' and she is our ‘whiter than white’ little lady. She is everyone's friend and has a very lickable character. She can express her excitement by talking with you, needs to be treasured for her huge heart and needs to be close. We are forced to judge her when her life is upside-down, but given stability and loving kindness she becomes a rose. Perfect little girl to comfort a family and offer them a new zest for life.
Luna is white Staffie with polka-dot ears. She is still slender frame but may bulk up more in her second year which we believe she is just entering. Luna has charm and wears her heart on her sleeve. She needs a family that is not too excitable, measured, patient and appreciative of her diamond Staffie qualities.

***PLEASE NOTE: We are a rescue finding dogs their forever homes. We usually ask for a minimum donation of £150 at the time of adoption, for each dog, to help us continue helping homeless dogs.
See Luna's Thread below: Watch her progress through our Rescue
Referral Details: Luna was found stray full of milk obviously having had a litter 6 weeks previous. Chip not registered but to a vet in Havant as a pup. White Staffie under weight; friendly nature to people and dogs. Around 1 year old
Luna (means white) came into our care today. She was spayed and found to have a chip. She needs vax as of next week.

Luna seems to be recovering from her spay well - very ready for cuddles and attention today.
She is looking a bit thin so she is now on some 'build me up food'. Such a sweetheart with such a sad story behind her. She deserves the best from now on. |

Well the 2 Olwens now Luna and I had a day out at the car boot sale today They both seemed to enjoy looking for bargains. What I wasn't expecting was Luna to spend as much time on 2 legs as my Mum Luna is fascinated by cars and vans and just had to have a look inside every one of them - so I guess a car boot sale wasn't the ideal venue for a first walk. A lady on one of the stalls told me that she'd been watching us walking and that we should have called Luna 'Nosey Rosie'
We found out quite a bit about Luna in a short space of time.
She is very good with dogs and people. Here she is with a gorgeous EBT puppy:
She likes to roll in the muck, yuck
She has amazing ears that can work independently
She adores being in the car:
She's extremely affectionate and loves my Mum, of course!
It didn't seem to me as though she's been walked on a lead much before, but there was a lot for her to take in at the boot sale. I took her to a field for a run around and she was fine on the training lead. She was constantly looking for someone to go and say hello to.
She has a fantastic smile
I think we tired her out
Gorgeous girlie who's got so much going for her _________________ Forum Housekeeper |

She really is quite beautiful - inside and out! Beautiful pics of her with your mum, looks like both Olwen's enjoyed themselves and were left smiling. _________________ SHARONR - ADMIN

Oh my, oh my - Gorgeous little Luna . So much about her shouts, 'Puppy!'
When Luna and I were out she was absolutely sure she wanted to run like the wind! She just didn't necessarily know toward what, though! Squirrels were everywhere, but I didn't encourage her to chase, and she was easily distracted away in another direction. Although I've only just met her, Luna seems to me like a relatively high energy dog. Channeled in the right direction, I think she could be a great dog for an active family or even a dog who might take to something like agility or flyball.
This beautiful little girl was very engaged with her walker - she kept looking around, waiting for confirmation or direction. This trait is as adorable as she is and signalled to me that she would welcome leadership and love and training. This gorgeous girl is a nearly blank page that will offer a family a stunning dog that they can train from practically puppyhood.
Luna has a very laddish bark for such a petite young lady! She can sound quite bossy sometimes when she's in kennels. Outside kennels she didn't emit a peep. Another example of how a dog can be quite different when they're locked inside, and how they calm and shine when offered love and the freedom to explore.
Just thought I'd offer up another shot of those spectacular ears:
And Another:
I just can't get over her ears! They're a little bit floppy when she's relaxed, but when something grabs her attention, they perk up absolutely stiff and join together. A physical sign of her unique personality.
As much as I love her, I really hope that Luna isn't with us long. She needs a family to look up to and love and show her the way. _________________ "The question is not, 'Can they reason?' nor, 'Can they talk?' but rather, 'Can they suffer?'" - Jeremy Bentham |

Luna left the kennels as a white and spotty doggie and within 5 minutes became a white and spotty dog with black legs and undercarriage!!
I think Keith was fascinated by those ears too. They sort of graduated from both down, to one up, to the other up and then to both up

She looks a real cutie Janet. She did catch our eye very quickly when we were collecting Stevie on Friday. I'm sure she won't be with us very long with those looks and the personality I've read about on here |

I walked pretty Luna today. She was quite vocal .....but I think she had figured out I had a pocket full of treats!
Taking treats so gently ...
Luna was an easy walk, you do get the feeling she would love to run but she is not a pully dog (if that makes sense!!??) She enjoyed it when we had a sit on a tree stump and had a cuddle and a chat. It would be great if someone could offer her even a short weekend foster so we can build a better picture of her as she really is our 'mystery girl' !! _________________ "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." ~ Aesop |

I had the great pleasure of walking the adorable Luna today on a group walk with xxLynne and Bruno and Lee with Tony. What a little sweetheart she is. A bit pully on the lead but did listen very well to command.
We met an off lead staffy and GSD with no problems at all. Luna is a very happy little girl ...
xxLynne has pics ... I think! _________________ Doin' it for the staffies....

Luna went to the vets today for vax ...... she just makes people smile with her enthusiasm for life! The vet said she was perfect (I didn't like to say that we knew that already!!)
She inducted Sharon (Phylly's mum!) into kennel walking today and of course added another member to her fan club
walked well with Tony , but to be honest she is an amiable girl and walks happily with any of her kennel mates. Busy on her walks but remains connected and likes to return from the end of her extender for cuddles! _________________ "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." ~ Aesop |

Luna's guide to walking:
1. Run to the end of the extender
2. Sit down and wait for your walker to catch up
3. Repeat as necessary
Well, that's what she was doing with me today anyway! She is just such a lovely girl, full of life and joy. I just don't think I was walking fast enough for her today though |
