Hello Arnold , I'm Nyx

A nice human to sit on ( sorry they are hazy , I think I inadvertantly altered a setting whilst out walking yesterday)

Nyx the foot warmer!

this bed is comfy!

...so is Arnolds!!

Come on kevin .... time to get up ... it is 6.45 on a Sunday morning!!!

it most definately was not us!!

please let me play ...

oh ok ... well I will just play jumping over Arnold then!!!

Nyx has behaved so well. I didn't expect her to be mixing with Arnold but they both indicated they thought it would be a good idea. kailey was a bit concerned by Arnold's barking (which he does when he gets excited about anything .... but forgets quite what it was he was excited about and carries on anyway!) when he barked I fussed Nyx and gave her a treat and within minutes she associated his bark with something nice happening!

Nyx tried to prompt Arn to play but he let her know that the only game he really likes is 'lick the plates in the dish washer', she was then settled and accepting.

The snow was a delight , she raced around on her extender  and kept jumping over Arnold .... so funny!!.  When he had tired of her flibbertygibbet ways a firm 'Nyx enough' was enough to calm her completely.

A lot of you will know I am a staffy person really but it was a delight to have such an elegant gentle girl in the house.

Nyx came out of her kennel like a cross between a kangaroo and an octopus but within 5 mins she had settled into her  walk.

she walked beautifully with Robbie ....

I think she actually wanted to be in the same harness!!

lots of 'happy  to be happy' bumbling about together ...

She is such a little show off ... robbierobbierobbie watch meeeee

This little dog is a real fun girl while out and about but in the house ....happy to snoozzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzze !

Nyx is so much fun! When me and Nic got to the kennels Nyx was out in the paddock so we went in and had a good play and run! She is such a happy , fun girl to be around and really lifts your spirits.

I walked her today too and she was lovely to walk, didn't pull very hard and when I called her she would come back for a cuddle. Another really sweet girl that really deserves a home to call her own, it would be a very lucky home too!

Can't understand why this little girl is still with us and it is such a waste - she is a little gem who should have a loving family to bring her on. She is only a pup who needs a little direction - she loves the world so I think it is only fair that she has someone to return that full time  Wink

After walking at the kennels today I thought Miss Nyx could do with some 'home time' so she is keeping arnold company for a couple of days ...... they said hello in the garden and then wandered in the house together ......she has not been here for 3 weeks but it would appear she remembers Arnolds house rules ... good girl  :D

more photos will follow  La La La

I am such a meanie ... I set Nyx a little test today , I went to walk the kennel dogs for a couple of hours and Arn came with me to sleep in the car! Nyx was left with the run of the house, I even left two biscuits on a plate on the kitchen table and some shredable tissues on the coffee table..... what did I discover when I came home !!!  Nyx fast asleep on the sofa - not a thing touched in the house!!

she will sleep anywhere!

and so endearing ..

relaxing in the evening ..

this mornings walk was uneventful , but did show she is not bothered by traffic ..

puppy dog needs a home ... or committed foster place ...

She is not really interested in my dog so I think she would be more than happy to be an only dog .... the centre of your universe!!

My old boy has arthritis so in the mornings I put on a halogen heater to get his old bones going ........

I think Nyx's young bones appreciated it too!!

she is a funny little thing , without a doubt , the easiest dog that has ever been in my house (including all my own!!)

I took Nyx back to kennels today , she was so excited to get in the car but I had to tempt her back into her kennel with a sausage. She and Arnold travelled shotgun by my side!! (arn look like grey old peter stringfellow with a stunning young babe by his side!  :D )

We have had a fab few days with her  - as I said in an earlier post , the easiest dog I have ever had in my house (including any of my own!!). She will definately be coming home for a sleepover again as soon as possible (but hopefully she will have found her forever home or lovely fosterers before I get the chance!!)

Nyx is fine to be left for short periods, she just snuggles down and goes to sleep! (she was left with the run of the house for 4 hours on weds and was perfect. Enjoys her walks , meets dogs well on the lead, not interested in toys , loves a silly 5 mins on a long line then chooses just to trot along with you. Fully houstrained , not one accident. Perfect little companion as she likes to be supervising you whatever you are doing!
Great in the car, very relaxed around visitors after initial greetings.

Racking my brains to think why no one is showing interest in her  : (

No photos really show her  her true beauty .

This is Nyx's second visit to us and she has been exceptional both times.

last night I looked on all the 'lost dog' websites as I find it so hard to believe this special girl was left to stray on purpose ...... but I guess she was  - unbelievable .

I walked Nyx today in the group walk today. She was lovely (as ever) and neatly jumped over all the puddles to keep her feet clean and dry. She really knows her name and runs straight back when you call her (when she's at the end of the extender) and gently takes any treats you give her. She enjoyed a towel down when we got back as we'd all got soaked. She really is lovely - so neat and pretty.

Sorry for the rubbish photos!!

I too had the very great pleasure of Nyx's company at the group walk on Sunday. I really, really love this special girl - she is pretty, intelligent and above all fun  love9.  I love her enjoyment and enthusiasm for all that is going on around her. She is full of puppyish energy and just wants to play. She is a joy to be with.

She is so connected to the people that she is with. Every so often turning round and checking that everyone is OK. She is desperate to please people and is very intelligent. She already does a beautiful sit and I think would enjoy further training.

Any family would be lucky to have this princess. She's just wonderful love1.

Thank you for all the lovely photos and for taking her in.  It was so sad to see such a young, eager to please dog in kennels for so long. I am crossing my fingers and waiting for news...
