Miriam had some visitors today, she was very good and met their Beagle nicely though didn't fully listen to him asking her to back off when she attempted to play
They forgot to bring their camera so I lent the young son (sorry I'm very bad with human names) my Blackberry, it seems it is capable of taking good photos in the right hands

Miriam and I wandered down to the village yesterday, popped into the vets for her 2nd vac, she was a very good girl, then wandered back again. She really is a sweetie |

Enjoyed another lovely walk and cuddles with Miriam today. She is a big softy, loves to have a stroke and a cuddle in her kennel before setting off. Once out and about she loves to sniff and pee and explore. We saw some horses and she had a good look at them with curiosity in her eye and then moved on with her walk. Miriam is becoming more responsive on the lead and to body language so that she can make a connection to the person at the other end of the lead, so lovely to see her tuning in. A fab, gorgeous girl with a big hear and paws to match x _________________ Four Positive Paws

walked Miriam this morning .... she is just lovely!
taking a treat so gently ..
down the muddy ditch ..
Miriam was interested in dogs that were approaching, she stopped and looked , I just encouraged her on. she got a bit bouncy and barky at a bouncy and barky lab but I the signs were that play would have been nice. Miriam is not aware of her size and I couldn't explain that the lab looked a bit antique and probably would not appreciate being sat on
When my confidence has grown with Miriam I will feel able to let her approach dogs but currently I just encouraged her to walk on. _________________ "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." ~ Aesop |

| Miriam is just adorable! She walked really nicely for Claudia yesterday and was great around the other dogs. She has a firm friend in Lottie, the two were walking with each other so well that Lottie was on her extender and she chose to walk next to Miriam! It was soo cute and if it hadn't been raining so hard I would have got some pics on my phone. It was like little and large!! What a great girl! |

Miriam is back in Gatwick (S) tonight looking forwards to her chums coming to make a huge fuss of her.
We had such a wonderful journey back and she relaxed into sleep about 30 mins into the journey, spread over on to my lap, head in my lap soaking up strokes. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!

It was ladies day today! With Minnie, Miriam and Mabel all coming home with me!
How rewarding it is to be able to see the dogs away from the kennels and in a natural environment. Miriam surprised me. I have found her to be quite serious, who is happy just to trot along on a walk.
Once off lead in the garden she was so different! She liked playing with the ball, but she comes across as such a clown She is a big girl, but so very gentle.
She enjoyed her time pottering in the garden and laying in the sun. When she'd had enough, she made her way over to me and sat and had a fuss.
What a beautiful girl

| Just so exciting to see her playing like that - as you say a very different girl to the quiet, serious one sat in the kennels. Lovely dog, hopefully someone will recognise the potential in this big baby XX |

I was wondering what had got into baby Miriam today. She was full of beans and had a spring in her step on her walk. I thought it was just the spring sunshine but I guess she is still over the moon about her off lead romps at Vickys yesterday, what a lucky girl, thank you Vicky. I took Miriam on a different route and a slightly longer walk and she had lots of sniffs and walked nicely on the lead once she had settled into her stride. She really is the most gorgeous girl that loves her cuddles and fusses. We saw some pigs and she enjoyed watching them and then was happy to let them get on with their wallowing while she got on with her walk in the sun. Fingers and toes crossed for this big baby girl x _________________ Four Positive Paws
