Homed Homing Requirements: Harriet so needs a terrier home. She is currently high energy and focused on her ball if allowed. Unassessed in a home as yet. Definitely secure terrier-proof garden and exit management as she is keen to follow!
Her Story: Harriet was passed on to us via the police so unsure of previous circumstance. Her chip registered to her breeder as a Jack Russell x Pug and born 18th Nov 2009. Harriet will be spayed this week and 1st vax'd. In boarding kennels near Gatwick, Surrey
Advert: Harriet is fast ... like a jump jet! She is feminine, licky and given a ball, she knows how to determinedly place it, then tells you anxiously what your part in this game is, indeed! We are just assessing her lead walking and mixing with other dogs outside on her walks, but she meets dogs very well through the kennel door. Always delighted to see her lead. Her intelligence is bright, focused and attuned to what is on offer; food, fun, walks or love!
Harriet looks just like a fawn 'Pug' but that nose is just a tad too pointy! She also has a 'wiry' body, longer legs and a focused mind; the look in her eye is 100% terrier. She is Jack Russell in instinct and attitude. You are seeing one dog and witnessing something else. She runs like the wind and would need due care leaving the house as she'd be the leader if you let her!
If you are interested in re-homing please complete Our on-line Homing Questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
"Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found"
Please see Harriet's Thread below: Watch her progress through our Rescue Referral Details: The kennel owner agreed to save Harriet once the Police were able to place her for rehoming. She has come on to our books and we are exploring her needs and preparing her for her forever home.
Harriet came on to our books yesterday. She was assessed in the paddock and her stance and drive..are revealed through the photos..the light was fading. Definitely looking for a terrier home for her. After the photos we put a new collar and disc on her and she met several dogs through their kennel door like she was the queen

Yes, didn't know her name yesterday but she is definitely a Harriet!!! She is gorgeous, very lively and wriggly, loving and curious and busy busy. She looks just like a pug but with longer legs and shows no interest in other dogs at all. Walks very nicely if the leader of the gang as she deserves to be as she is such a pretty little dog who hopefully won't be in kennels too long as her little face was just so sad on leaving her

I posted on Little Dog Rescue forum that Harriet looks as if she would enjoy flyball and teams are often eager for smaller dogs, height dogs, as the jumps are set to the height of the smallest dog competing. Our Patterjack loved it and was brilliant. Harriet looks as if she would have the energy and enthusiasm.

Yes, I agree, Harriet definitely has bundles of energy and flyball would be great for her as she is ball fixated. She was trying to get round stones from under the fencing thinking they were balls!!! I was laughing so much in the terrible photo of me, but beautiful one of Harriet, as she was wiggling so much and couldn't keep still for her photo shoot
What can I say about our little puglet? I am not a terrier person but she is such a sweetie and so full of beans. dancing along on the end of the lead you can't help but smile and fall for her. She stops a lot to sniff but moves on with encouragement and after initially asking Bruce to play with her she pretty much ignored the other dogs.
A little delightfull bundle of energy who I think will be chosing her own forever family - she seems to know what she likes
Well Harriet is the smallest dog that I have ever had the pleasure of walking! I can see exactly why everyone loves her - for such a small dog, she has such a massive personality. She really does dance and prance along as if she were in a show ring - I am sure she will be snapped up by some lucky person soon
Emma walked Harriet today she may be small but wants to go go go, she said hello very nicely to the little Jack Russell and grumpy collie in the sheep's field
Harriet is just the tiniest live wire of a dog! She wriggles for England in her kennel just loving that you are there and rolling on her back for tummy rubs. It makes getting her harness on a wee bit tricky.
She LOVED the snow. She just leapt and danced and rolled in it - such a happy, busy little dog.
Harriet is a real character. I met her today, and she is now known as Handstand Harriet as that's what she did when she had a wee. She is also great at catching treats.

She is so comical! Classic character, would make a wonderful companion. Very unique little personality.
I call her handstands-Harriet cause she obviously thought the snow is way too cold for her bum to be near it, so she decided to stand on her front legs with both back legs in the air... I wish I had my phone at easy reach... this could've been a youtube moment.
You see her and you smile!
I took the wriggling, dancing, cuddley bundle of fun out yesterday. We walked with Ice who is a bit nervous but was reassured by Harriet and much more relaxed for her company. She did ask him to play but he politely refused but told her he was grateful for her company. Both dogs seemed very respectful of each other.
