Homed
Homing Requirements: Humphrey is a proper Staffie with real character and needs a family to appreciate the comical little communicative Staffie he is. He needs a family around and to be inclusive I.e. sleep beside the bed not in the kitchen thank you!
His Story: Humphrey was found tied up in a London Park on the 11th December, microchipped and original owner contacted. She had homed him 2 years previously. Report on his chip that he had been found wandering in Camden 6 months ago and claimed by the owner. The dog warden went to the address and found it disserted. Isn't that sad? We were delighted to help Humphrey out. He is neutered, chipped and vax'd.
Video: Humphrey's a happy boy
Advert: Humphrey (Bogart) is a dramatist, actor and will delight all who become his audience. Humphrey seems focused on the task at hand on his walks carrying stick but very responsive and connected to his companion. He chats to other dogs and people on meeting, intelligent and very trainable. Trick or Treat is so his market! He soaks up the cuddles.
Humphrey is a brindle boy of smallish stature with the 'clown's grin'. He is 4 years old and ready to lick and talk away to you. Humphrey is a PROPER Staffie; he is 200% delightful! His top picture showing a glint in the eye is chosen hinting at Humphrey's special charm. Life will never be the same with a Humphrey in your life; how did you ever manage without him!

Humphrey is adorable. He was very excited when I entered his kennel but he listens and is responsive (and very affectionate) so no problems at all getting him harnessed and out into the field. He is full of life and very busy on his walk but very focused on his walker, very responsive and easy on the lead. He has a liking for sticks (the bigger the better) and is a bit of a puppyish clown at times which made me laugh. He really is an all round lovely boy, easy and affectionate. He loves his treats and would be great to do some further training with as I think he is a fast learner and eager to please.

| I was lucky enough to take Humphrey out for a stroll today - he was as excited to see me as I was him. Just as Anne says, he is a very responsive boy and whilst he pulled a little to start with, he soon calmed down and walked nicely following just behind Hazel. Just lovely! |

Humphrey is a great Staffie - so pleased to see you and so full of fun and enthusiasm. He has a big smile on his face all the time and puts a smile on my face too. He does like to have a 'Staffie chat' with the other dogs.

Well what a name and what a dog. Lovely chunky boy and as Anne said, bit excited in the kennel but responds very quickly to the 'sit' command and soon settles. He also found a lovely stick which he took all round the walk and was very pleased with himself. Being as it is all new to him at the moment I think he is settling in very well and we will both be searching for the biggest stick for him on our next walk together although he is very fussy in the stick department!!! .gif) |

Humphrey is just the most entertaining dog ever. He had me in stitches this morning with his antics. He has a liking not for sticks but for large branches. First he tried to pinch a fence post but those were firmly attached to the fence so he settled on a very large branch which I had to dodge as we walked along. Then it broke in half and was more managable for a while. Fortunatly he gave the branch a good old chew before we got to the stile so he a small chunk which fitted through under the stile. He does spend much of his walk looking for suitable sticks to collect, being of course very fussy!
Depite all this he is so responsive out on his walk, very gentle on the lead and just so affectionate and cuddley too. I really need a Humphrey in my life - I so wish I could take him home.

Humphrey is an all round great character. He does like his sticks but will drop them sometimes if asked to wait and not pick them up until you move on. He will also give you the stick, if you ask nicely, without complaint. He did work out that the stick would not fit through the stile and was quite happy to leave it behind. What a clever boy. Calm, cuddley, clever, happy, funny, patient - noone could ask for more from a dog!

Had the pleasure of Humphrey as my last walk yesterday - what a lovely boy he is - no wonder he's so popular with the other walkers
He walked beautifully with Ty - they just plodded along together - we took them on a different route and they both had a lovely time
A really nice boy who hopefully won't be waiting too long for his new home |

Humphrey is a really special boy with bags of character. He has a piece of branch outside the gate at the back of the kennels and he picks it up and carries it for the whole walk stopping to have a rest and a chew along the way. He then lets me take it and leave it outside the gate for next time when we return.
Such a calm, well mannered boy, if you haven't walked him yet you are missing out!
Someone must be desperate for a lovely boy like Humphrey in their lives - he will put a smile on your face.

Just a couple of pictures of Humphrey who decided that he wanted to find the longest stick possible today, here he is with Liz
The look of determination on his face whilst trying to negotiate his way through Copthorne Village with his enormous stick was priceless - he really is such a character |

Found a little background on Humphrey. He was found tied up in the middle of Finsbury Park on the 11th Dec. Found microchipped and orignal owner contacted and she had homed him 2 years ago. Report on his chip that he had been found wandering in Camden 6 months ago and reclaimed by owner. Dog warden went around to that address and place was deserted. He had a 5 day foster over Christmas to take him out of immediate danger of PTS with a single man no info. given on how he was.
Humphrey is a loveable Staffie who needs companionship and activity as busy little 'worried' person at the moment. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!

I had the pleasure of Humphreys company today on my first walk with this gorgeous boy. He was very happy to invite me into his kennel and enjoyed a tummy rub before being harnessed, walked nicely past all the other dogs in their kennels and walked so politely and calmly on the lead, a nice, easy walk for us both. He is a very friendly little chap and loves a fuss too. A gorgeous boy that would love some company in a warm home and perhaps a sofa too. Fingers crossed little Humphrey _________________ Four Positive Paws
