Homed
Homing Requirements: Ebony should live with at least one other dog as she would now find it difficult to be an only dog. She needs her family to continue to help her with catching up on achieving her developmental milestones which she is doing so easily in her foster family. Ebony needs a secure garden and exit management I.e. no casual use of the front door as terriers only see opportunities!
Her Story: Ebony was found stray with her litter sisters. Her owner turned up 2 days after found to claim them, but he had only just discovered they had gone. He then refused to pay the reclaim costs. We took them in just before Christmas and they have all had a wonderful time (One went straight into her home after spay). Spayed, vax'd and chipped. Fostered in Bexhill on Sea.
Advert: Ebony is a 7 month old Patterdale Terrier who has always lived with her sisters and is growing in confidence and skills. She was rather shy but is learning to trust, engaging with people and dogs around her. She is very affectionate and adores cuddles on your lap. She is learning to live independently of her litter sister and relates well to her 3 foster brothers. She has achieved housetraining with attention given, and she is learning to chew appropriately but not out of the woods on this score just yet.
Ebony is a jet black short wire Pattie. She has the classic long nose for inquisitiveness and the big 'duster' paws looking like fake fur boots. Ebony is a dear and she will make a terrier family jump over the moon with delight. She needs formal training but that should be fun. Her instincts are social though she could take up a models life on the cat walk!

Referral Letter: Hi Lynne,
I have 3 patterdales terriers. all approx 6 months old. all female. they are from the same litter and identical. I have attached a photo of one. they were found on monday and an owner called today Wednesday but will not pay the fee to have them returned. He will not officially sign them over and will not give any information about them. They had been kept in an outside kennel and after going missing monday lunchtime were apparently not noticed missing until today!!. they are very sweet and friendly. I will wait to hear from you to hopefully arrange collection for early next week.
kind regards Emily Dog warden _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!

Makes me so angry. How can you not notice that your dogs are missing. Do you not feed them or give them water? _________________ A dog's love is unconditional |

Ebony came into our care today. She was spayed, 1st vax'd and chipped. Oscar's mum (and Dad) came to collect her and her sister Natalie and took them into foster. We think they are around 7 months old. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!

Tilly(Natalie) and Ebony are the sweetest little girls you could ever hope to meet. The minute we saw them in their cages at the vets they gave us a wag and a lick despite recovering from their operations literally a few hours before.
The first night they proved that they knew how to bark and they also had a little whine when we put them to bed but that may have been due to their operations as they have not done it since. Natalie is a little timid especially when you try to kiss her face but Ebony shows none on this and loves her kisses. They have kept their sleeping crate clean but need to learn where to wee etc. For puppies they do not really nip although they have started (a few days in) to attempt to chew but we are not encouraging that and they are very compliant when you tell them to stop. They seem to have learned their names and come when you call each one which I think is amazing. They love their cuddles and are very very affectionate.

Happy New Year Everyone. She certainly does! You're not wrong she really appreciates what she has. Even when they are muddy from head to toe.
So we bathed them and had to take the collars off and were really worried we would get the dogs mixed up but Ebony is much braver than Natalie who won't let you kiss her head for some reason - she tries to get away so you reassure her and then she's fine.
Look at the picture of them trying to escape the kitchen whilst still fairly wet - see if you can tell them apart (I suppose the quality of the picture doesn't help).
Anyway here are some more pics
In case anyone is unsure if they are suitable to be with other dogs take a look at one of them with our Maple

Hello All,
Happy New Year. Those Patterdale girls have quite stolen my heart. I am going away for 10 days in January but would be interested in one of them if either are looking for a forever home.
I have a scruffy, Parson Russell called Asta who rescued via Hope Rescue nearly two years ago. She is my pride and joy - despite her somewhat naughty nature.
Thanks

Hi, Victoria, you may be getting a call soon from one of the coordinators - I am just the fosterer ( and very lucky to be, too).
Was just going to post another picture when I saw your post xxx
The girls are finding their puppy ways now which is so endearing to watch and makes me think - at last - be puppies and be loved.
But please, up there, PLEASE let the rain stop so they can have more fun! |

Lovely pic - and I don't know about Bexhill but the sun has come out for you in South London! I will wait to hear from a co-ordinator. Fingers crossed the filthy weather will be shortlived!
Thank you! |
