Homing Requirements: Archie needs an understanding family who will gradually open Archie's horizons as he has closed down into a insular comfort zone exclusive of anyone thing other than his 2 owners and their flat existence. Experienced terrier adult family as an only pet. Can be left. Needs own secure terrier proof garden with exit management.
His Story: Archie is in his second year, living in a flat with his owner and her teenage son. As inexperienced terrier owners, they have tended to pander to Archie's whimes. He has become selective of food, company and closed down in his scope. A few incidents has resulted in a 'protective' mode and restrictive lifestyle. Archie needs to go into a family who can reassure and expand those horizons so he can embrace life's variations and complexities. Neutered, vax'd and Chipped.
Advert: Archie is currently living in a flat with caring owners with access to a garden 4x a day and a walk once a fortnight. He has had once incident with another dog so since then other dogs avoided and a muzzle employed on walks. Archie also got over excited with a visitor and now his family do not have people call. Archie is living a restricted life and needs to be teesed into socialisation outside and to be introduced to others including visitors. Archie is loved dearly by his family. He sleeps on his owners bed with his comfort blanket. He can be left without event. He knows basic commands.
Archie is a handsome terrier who needs a terrier owner with faith in his latent potential. He needs slow, tiny steps to open Archie outwards and to get Archie to socialise. The confidence must come from his new family. Archie needs to become more desensitised to 'events' so these are perceived as part of the fabric of his new life. "Once Archie is used to someone I'm certain he will love them like he loves us, he is clever and funny"
