Homed
Homing Requirements: Bruce deserves a dog experienced family to love and care for him. He needs a harmonious atmosphere with Bruce's needs central to the family's sense of well being. Secure garden and regular active regime. Walks with confidence communicated through lead meeting off lead dogs. Could live with a calm older dog.
His Story: Bruce was found stray and his chip revealed his name Bruce and age 2006, owner did not respond to notification and was unclaimed. Bruce came into our care and now neutered, vax'd and kennelled near Gatwick.

Advert: Bruce always looks serious on camera but is is a calm and fun dog outside his kennel. Bruce is a stable dog who loves to be with children. He builds trust easily. He is in good health despite an extended period in kennels. He walks calmly on the lead and mixes with other dogs well when their approach controlled, gets a little head strong if dogs 'too in his face', but great if he keeps walking. His focus is his people on his walk. He travels very well in the car secured or crated. Housetrained. Carries good training and exceedingly receptive to house rules; e.g. doesn't go on furniture or go upstairs if told.
Bruce is black with a hint of brindle and a white blaze on his chest and little white paws. A lovely Staffie who so needs a loving home to treasure him. Given company and a task, Bruce will bubble into laughter and good cheer. He loves to play and to sit for strokes. Bruce is kind and very sincere. A big hit within our Rescue. It is the easiest thing in the world to love Bruce.

Luvvily Duvvily Bruce. We found out Bruce's name through his microchip. His owners had been contacted but no response. We also found his age as 2006..so yes that explains the nice steady boy...be he a little bit enthusiastic on the lead.
Bruce was neutered and 1st vax (yesterday 9th) He will be advocated and wormed over the next week. Bruce was sitting nicely in the vet kennel when I arrived to collect him. He is a little frightened being approach in his kennel and looks wary and retreats slightly but is fine.
Dropped my camera, which died a death, so no pictures captured today but will use my phone camera next time I have the pleasure. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!

| Liz walked Bruce on Saturday and as she does not come on the forum, I will tell you what she said. He is adorable a sweet staffy with a gentle nature, an easy walk just happy to be out and about. This boy has a beautiful dark coat with pretty eyes and a true staffy grin. He should not be with us long, hopefully, a little dream of a dog XX |

Bruce popped out into the field with Margaret today. He is such a friendly boy coming straight up to me for fuss when he saw me as they were heading back. Here are his lovely mug shots. What a handsome boy with such a lovely staffi smile!

Bruce got the short straw today, we couldn't leave him as the only dog unwalked so we went for a short walk, a sit on the grass and I just managed the one photo as he likes to stay close so thanks Anne for taking more.

Bruce had to be my first choice today to make up for that short walk.
We walked alone so he may be different in a pack though he was no trouble on the kennel run,t this boy walked on a loose lead the whole time, he doesn't even hold you up sniffing, he does sniff but on the move, when needs must he'll stop to cock his leg but doesn't make a song and dance of it.
He took an interest in everything and a fair amount of tail wagging went on, the horses had his interest but even then he was sure not to pull on lead just kept an oo what are they eye on them!
A really gorgeous, happy easy going boy. |

Couple of photos of Bruce from Thursday
New walker Kelly walked Bruce today, he was very excited and a bit pully when he first went into the field and waited with the other dogs but he soon settled into walking nicely with a loose lead

I got to walk the lovely Bruce for the first time today. He was a little star, very easy to walk, very connnected with me and looked round everytime I spoke to him and seemed good with the other dogs. He is also very handsome, with a shiney black coat and a cute, puppydog face. I think him and Barney would have loved to have a play together but sadly it was raining heavily and neither me or Vicky felt like being pulled over in the mud , maybe next time Brucey boy! |

| Walked with Nina and Bruce yesterday and I must say was most impressed with his lovely friendly nature to other dogs - no sign of agression and walked alongside Perkins with no trouble at all - apart from sharing a few kisses together!!!! Lovely Staffie |

Bruce was a great dog to walk today, he lead the way with a loose lead and enjoyed a nice towel dry when we got back |

Bruce travelled in the front of the dogmobile on Friday with 4 other dogs in the back and just a poke of his nose through the grid to quizzle Enry and he was relaxed taking command of the road and enjoying chats and strokes with a few gifts of licks during the 30 minute journey to the vets.
Bruce received his 2nd vax and the vet expressed his anal glands as his tail is looking a little worse for wear..but this was agreed probably due to too long in kennels. Bruce then enjoyed time in the kennel paddock on return. Bruce is a nice easy Staffie.

| Bruce is a lovely dog to walk, just strolls along, no pulling. We did a bit wet (well drenched!!) yesterday and he had to stop and have a couple of shakes to keep his good looks in order!! He is a very gentle boy and no trouble at all and he is looking for his forever home which I hope will come soon for him and he will make an excellent addition to some lucky family hopefully soon |
