My firm has it's own website with a page for advertisements i.e. holiday homes, things for sale, public notices and announcements which many of our staff look at. Today I entered on the site an ad: "Dog Fosterers Wanted" for Rescue Remedies/Terrier Rescue.

Have you got a similar work website? Is there a noticeboard in the kitchen, staff canteen or restaurant or a firm magazine that you could put an appeal in? An example of what I posted is below.

Come on, let's be creative and keep spreading the word. If we get one concrete enquiry it will be worth it.

Example:

"Dog Fosterers Wanted"

A London based dog rescue charity are always looking for foster places - even if someone can only offer 3 weeks this means they can move a known dog into that home and give them more attention whilst they use that space to save another.

They are a special rescue for Fell/Patterdale Terriers, Lakeland & Irish Terriers and help other terriers, especially Jack Russells and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. They also actively help cross breeds, ex-kennel dogs or older dogs.

The criteria they are looking for are:

Ideally dog experience to be aware of dogs needs;
Active people to ensure dog gets 2x daily walks.
Secure garden.
Transport to collect or deliver a dog.
Tolerant of toilet training/settling issues often features in a new home.
Ideally no other pets to allow a separated dog to relax or a home with other dogs for a dog fluent dog.

You can help in other ways too. They need help with transport, dog items, toys & donations AND OF COURSE SUITABLE HOMES FOR REHOMING! Please call me for details".

PS: I am also going to e-mail the RR poster to my vet to put up in the surgery - it will only take a few mins to do. Have you done that yet?
