1st Feb 2010 Monday Picture of the day

Cassie what a star bomb proof with dogs..and so beautiful

Stories of the day  Ben was homed today. Holly; Sushi and Lottie moved into new fosters. Irish dogs Ringo and Cole come Thursday morning, all set up. Jenna has done so well in weekend foster how wonderful for her. Arnold is in temp foster in Swindon living with 4 bitches and playing with one in particular.

Tomorrow we launch the online questionnaire on terrierrescue. Far superior to our current format...user friendly; much more detailed and informative. It will be less off putting for the public whatever their PC. Secret Squirrel has woken up from hibernation early talking to the Canadian red Squirrels about special collectables Wink

5th Feb. 10 Friday Picture of the day

Finlay see that kind face..thats why we had to be there for you babe!

Story of the day: Parkin found his family today! Archie has been met and probably going into foster tomorrow. Most of our Gatwick dogs got 2 walks this week!

All our questionnaires are mainly terrier questionnaires. Many arent realistic with their expectations and circumstances; we have a responsibility to ensure realism. We sit here with fantastic dogs; so lets celebrate!

I have lost my mobile I was out the house from 10.15 until 7.30 and I just got over tired and must have dropped it when I called in on the vet last thing. So Bhah humbug not contactable for a while.

6th Feb 10 Saturday Picture of the day

Bruno's day today out of kennels for the first time in 6 months into foster..poor Rhona feeling for her tonight. We were offered a 2 week foster for her but we couldn't help but place Archie in there as he so needs the input..sorry Rhona you are just so homeable beautiful girl!

Stories of the day: Solar and Shadow came together today. Jessey..awaiting news. Bruno met Bea again and has gone into foster. Archie went into foster with Bruno Shepherd (not our Bruno). Jinx charmed Stephen (& Melissa) into submission and she became their 5th foster. Monty's ear is nearly completely healed now but he still seems to have a deep irritation within, which he is so wanting to get to..sadly. Buster collar remains on  Crying or Very sad We'll keep on going hopefully we will clear that irritation. Proved himself to be such a good soul and copes with long periods in his own company. Dear Dear soul. Coco, Musky and Holly doing well in foster. We always welcome news from our fosters  Laughing

Blake was met today and is going into foster next weekend. Great news in from Jaspa, Solar and Parkin. Ava is doing so well in foster what a star she is becoming.
Vet bills this month are over the £2000 but we have had some serious ill dogs...sadly for them.

12th Feb. 10 Friday Picture of the day

Bruno has been with us since 26th June 08! He has come through to achieve magnificent dog status!

Story of the day: Health has played the issue today..Monty was in pain this morning until his painkiller kicked in..then settled. Mary had a bad day today looking frail and holding her back leg up again. 2 of our staffies clashed through a fence and Finlay ended up with a torn lip and Jessie a couple of puncture wounds. Finlay was stitched and neutered.
Possible lead for Cole and few homechecks set up for various homes.

Stage set for a busy day tomorrow

14th Feb 10 Sunday Picture of the day
Check our homepage.. http://www.rescueremedies.co.uk/
Happy St Valentine's day!  Our rescue is for Lovers!

Promises

I'm sitting here in my kennel run, crossing the days off with one of my paws
I can't count the times I've paced the length, but my feet are covered in sores
I was told this was a new beginning, my rescuers solemn promise
But as the days draw on and lengthen, I'm becoming a doubting Thomas!

I'm trying to look on the bright side, I've energy a plenty to enthuse
I get a run with a ball in the paddock, sometimes a walk and some chews
I was told I'd be exchanging my freedom, and giving up the right to roam
It would be for something special, whispers heard about a loving home!

I'm trying to stay optimistic, the promised life has to be better than this
I love to be groomed and played with, but I'd like a regular cuddle & a kiss
I was told that my dreams could be realised, a forever home could be mine
So I'm basking in a rare ray of sunshine, just waiting for my lucky Valentine!

Stories of the day: Finlay moved into foster today. Great reports on all the dogs who moved yesterday. Tonight just enjoy the slide show as above whilst it's up and note the careful choice of music!
