Referral Letter: We have been asked to urgently help 3 ( 2 blacks and 1 red) patterdales in one of the pound we don't always work with, one was found stuck down a hole and the other has some marks on his face. We're having a right problem with trying to get them a space as no one will give them a chance due to being ex workers and the council think there no hopers, is there any chance your able to help even it is just 2, we're willing to transport and get them them castrated.
Parkin is a Brown Patterdale They are rare and its the first we've rescued in 7 years (apart from Poppy who was Mags partner who we homed directly). Lovely temperament. Good with dogs. Cant wait to get up close and personal! Delivered into the Gatwick kens with a detour for microchipping on the way

Parkin had a lovely walk today with Bengy a homed Parson's Jack Russell and his devoted owners and Duggie another Patti who he was found with. He was a little too interested in Benjy initially but within 10 mins he had settled and all three walked together intermingled and enjoyed the late afternoon stroll. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!
I just don't understand why so many are going into rescues now. I recently had 3 here on foster, a mum and 2 pups and I just found them to be totally irresistible. Infact I ended up keeping one of the pups. They're very clever, loveable dogs and a joy to own.
Parkin met his Cookie today...they are very sweet together. So off they went to play happy families! _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!

We had a lovely walk when we got back, then a bath and then lots of cuddles. Cookie and Parkin are taking their time with each other, there have been no flair ups and they are edging ever closer by the minute. Cookie's nose is a little out of joint, but he is working his considerable charm on her. He's absolutely adorable and we are very smitten! Very calm and exceptionally polite!!
Here are some pics. Will try and get some better ones over the weekend.
Parkin is the most chilled of dogs! He and Cookie are still keeping a respectful distance - curling up together to sleep, but otherwise being very polite with each other. This is not particularly usual Cookie behaviour (who does have a reputation for cheekiness to maintain), but his calm nature seems to be rubbing off on her which is no bad thing!
For his part, he's sticking close to both of us and takes any and all opportunities for a cuddle. He's seems very well behaved and mature with other dogs - we walked with our whippet friends this morning and he was firm with the whippet puppy Teacup, but very tolerant. All in all - lovely nature!
