Very Happy   Yesterday evening when we arrived back home, he was feeling a little sorry for himself, bless him.  He was shivering and shaking an awful lot but Dee put my mind at rest by advising that it was perfectly normal.  Paul and Peppa had a gentle meet and greet before he went off to sniff out his new surroundings.  He enjoyed his dinner with gusto and then went straight out to relieve himself in the garden  Shocked  which was something I wasn't expecting - what a star!

He settled perfectly during the night and greeted us with a waggy tail this morning along with a request to go and visit the garden again!
He is such a love, he's been following me everywhere in the house and if I sit down he does too at my feet.  So trusting and accepting.

After breakfast, we went  for a stroll around the park.  He was very eager to go out and both himself and Peppa walked beautifully together (Peppa blue lead, Paul red):

He met a few of the regular dogs down at the park and was keen to interact with them - no problems at all.  However, I have to say that I had forgotten what it is like to have to stop at every tree trunk!
Back home, Peppa flopped into her bed (that'll be her till 4pm now) but Paul was still inquisitive.  He met the chickens with a 'Yeah, so what' attitude  Very Happy  and then sniffed out a chew to play with:

All in all, a very successful day - will keep you posted on developments.

Amanda  xx

What a perfect family for Paul. I love to read the beginning of a thread when I see such a happy ending. What a different life this lovely boy has been given when you compare it to his past.

Well done all especially Peppa for making him so welcomed.
