|
|
Bobby is a 9 week old Border Collie x Sheltie puppy and is completely blind.
He was rescued from Ireland after being bred by an irresponsible owner. Due to his parents being a brother/sister mating, he was born totally blind. After being given away to someone on the street, the new owner realised that he was blind after a couple of weeks and returned him to the breeder.
She in turn realised that nobody would want him blind, so handed him into an Irish rescue, but they knew that he would be very hard to rehome and asked if he could be bought to the UK for better homing prospects.
Bobby is a very intelligent boy. His recall is fantastic and he is confident around other dogs and tried desperately to be friends with all of the cats here (although they really don't want to know!) He is picking up on different commands and will be easy to train.
Bobby must be homed with another sociable dog as he will need a guide in life. I will not consider him to go to a home as an only pet.
Bobby cannot go to a home with children under the age of 10 due to his disability.

What a lovely boy Bobby looks. I grew up with a blind dog and we had another collie who loved him and acted as his guide dog. They went every where together and you would never have guessed Pip was blind.
Hope Bobby's forever home soon comes up as he looks such a love. |

Here's hoping that it's good news all the way for this little boy and that he trains his new people to be Guide People for a blind dog.
Smashing story and a lovely ending.
