Hello everyone, I'm another sad new member, just lost my 15 year old SBT last week and am absolutely lost without her, no more fetid breath, no more grunting, no more having to get up at 1.30am and 4.30am to let her out into the garden, no more buying the finest steak in her last months and having to bbq it for the tenderness, no more having 1/2 "space down the side of the bed whilst she spooned into my husband.
She was a rescue from SBTW South East back in 1996 at 18 months old. 4 weeks later i found out i was pregnant and panicked because I didn't know how she would be with young babies......Beryl Walker from SBTW had the patience of a saint with me and my raging hormones, she told me exactly what to do when the time came, not to make Dix feel she was ousted and she was right, I could not of wished for a better Nanny Dog. People who were previously afraid of dogs were converted once they met her and she was a local celebrity, everyone knew Dixie. I just love the Staffords, they are a breed of their own and they certainly light up the lives of anyone fortunate enough to own them. Can't wait to rehome another and give him/her the same great life that my old girl had, the long daily walks, the cuddles, sharing the bed, the family holidays to the sea and above all our trust and care if they have been previously abused.

Welcome to the forum- Sorry to hear about your loss, sounds like your last rescue dog found the perfect home and I know that there are alot here waiting in the wings to take up your offer of a loving and devoted home, sounds like they'll be spoilt rotten - just the way it should be

Welcome and *hugs*
There are far too many staffies in need of your home, I hope you find a needy pooch to fill you home with chaos, farts, and to steal your covers, sofa, biscuits and heart. |

I've now furnished my home with an adorable new addition - her name is Libby, she's around 3 years old and she is my old Staff re-incarnated - she looks the same, has the same traits but is far more obediant and compliant - my old girl just did what she wanted when she wanted lol My family is complete once more and the house once again smells of dogs paws and a smelly bum !! Have attached some photos of the new addition resting !!!!

Ah bless, she is cute. Wishing you both a long and happy life together. Glad you have found a new friend and have the memories of Dixie too
