Thanks Jed....
3 months on and I'm still sitting here with tears streaming down my face having re read the posts.
The rescue centre I got Spanner from called me 7 weeks ago and said they'd had an 8 month JRT come in... They took one look at him, then looked at each other and said "Ok, who's going to call Helen"
I went to see him and took him immediately - I called him Spud and he's a devil and an angel all rolled up into one.
He's filled a massive hole, but in some ways makes me miss Spanner even more.
Again, I would post a pic, but I am clearly never going to master the art of uploading.....

Thanks Tina.
I only found out AFTER I'd named her there was a cartoon on tv called Space Boy and Spanner - Spanner was the dog!
I was a bit annoyed actually because I thought it was unique... Especially at the vets one day when a Westie was called in by the same name. The woman said it was because of the cartoon! |

Thanks Lynne,
The little toad has spent all evening stealing coal and chamming it up on the rug, he's now lying 'spuds up' on the sofa. No doubt he's saving all his energy for the 4am chase-the-cat-across-the-bed session.... |

| What a great little dog, I'm so glad you've found happiness once again, losing your greatest friend is dreadful and the pain runs so deep but heals quickly when you find another just as good. I wish you and your new addition the best of everything. |
