Hi Lynne and Sue,
Just a quick update on Paddy's progress. He's settled down very well here. He's made friends with our youngest cat and they chase each other all over the house.Paddy is full of fun and loves collecting things - especially gloves and paint brushes! He's likes his home comforts and goes to sleep resting on the radiator. His skin is healing very nicely and he's getting some hair back on his ears and nose. Off to the vets for the op on Friday    Will let you know how he gets on. I've taken some photos but haven't worked out how to put them on here yet!

Paddy was neutered and chipped yesterday. We thought he would at least have been a bit more subdued than usual but no such thing! He behaved as if nothing had happened and it was a difficult job to keep him quiet for the evening, as the vet had advised. Anyway, he's fine and dandy and looking forward to dog training classes in January. When we took him to the vets, the surgery was full of other dogs and he did a lot of barking. He does seem to do this when he's on the lead. Any suggestions as to how to control this better than we did?

Terriers bark with excitement and nerves...so its just making him feel more comfortable with the scene he is exposed to.

Paddy is doing very well here. He loves people and makes a big fuss of everyone he meets, whether they like it or not. He's very intelligent, lots of fun, full of mischief and makes us laugh a lot. The cats are still very wary, but slowly coming round. Dog training classes start next week.

Paddy went to puppy training for the second time yesterday, and he managed to pay attention for a least 15 minutes which was a vast improvement on last week, when he was so excited to see so many dogs that he barked non stop for an hour. I think his recall needs a bit of work -instead of coming back to me, he said hello to all the other dogs there, one at a time  Embarassed He's a very clever little chap, so I'm sure he'll be brilliant after another 8 sessions (I live in hope!)
