The changes after 3 weeks

Secured 5 kennels in Gatwick but really need to decrease this as it is too much and will affect Alyson's boarding business adversely.  Secured 3 kennels at Farnham Hampshire and able to stretch to more off season. The problem will be decreasing our numbers when we are getting intense pressure to take..(though this on ongoing anyway)

Have begun to home through kennels.

Personally I am literally spending 4 days in the car out of the house for over 6-8 hours which is demanding on me personally and on dogs in my house.  Mainly transporting dogs.So need to develop more trnasporters who can at a drop of a hat be on call to move dogs.

Need to develop vet service close to Gatwick with vol. drivers to avoid 6 hours in the car for myself and dogs. Need more fosterers who are happy to assess dogs. Need more kennels based closer to my homebase.

Feeling dreadful putting needy souls in kennels and the danger is just paying kennelling and not having the time or facilities to assess these dogs in a domestic setup.

Adverting our dogs optimised; with weekly print off poster see 'What can you do' and adverttising on so many websites and keeping them up to date within 3-4 days if not daily see 'Websites'

Oh yes and then there are so many Staffies being put to sleep needlessly for want of a rescue place. Being known as a rescue who is pro-staffies we get the pleading emails! AND we have a staffie like Batleigh who is BRILLIANT, all singing and dancing and no interest!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all, if we can offer any help please let us know. Lynne, you saw our car and it's tiny, but if a dog can be transported without the need for a crate, I'm sure we can help on occasion.

Today is one year on...somehow we survived. It has been a wonderful year though financially very challenging. We are stronger and our outcomes are magnificent as shown by our new website

Thank you everyone

You and Dee have borne the brunt of this Lynne, though we would be stuck without all the backroom assistance - it's a great little rescue(though not so little any more!)

Its certainly different since when I first got involved, but I'm sure we will go from strength to strength.
