Homed Homing Requirements: Arnie's family will be doggie people who know how to engender trust in a terrier. Arnie needs a secure terrier-proof garden and strict exit management around doors, windows and gates: All family on board to ensure this. Arnie isn’t an escapologist, its just that he is easily spooked and hasn't the trust to surrender himself to his finder. Arnie needs to live with other dog(s). Arnie needs a secure management strategy to retain him on leads, so he can't struggle free and run scared.
His Story: Arnie was handed in to a large rescue centre by a member of the public who found him stray. Witnessed to be nervous of people but wins trust fairly soon, as is his wish. He enjoys the company of dogs. Neutered, chipped and vax'd. Currently in boarding kennels near Gatwick.
Advert: Arnie is sensitive by nature and seems to need time to trust but once he does he is a true friend. He needs a trust-centered approach which doesn't threaten but engenders positive feelings. Arnie is wary, instinctively nervous of initial meetings with people. Unsure of Arnie's history, but absolutely sure he is young and has great potential to settle in as a fabulous family dog.
Arnie is a small chocolate brown and white Jack Russell. Petite in features and sensitive in nature. Very loving within minutes of building trust. He will be a treasured terrier in the right hands. With a 'stroke of luck'!
If you are interested in re-homing please complete Our on line Homing Questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
"Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found"
See Arnie's Thread below: Watch his progress through our Rescue Referral Details: Arnie was taken in after being found stray and then into a large Rescue. He was assessed and found to be very good with dogs but nervous oin forming relationships with people on initial encounter. Terrierrescue was asked to help Arnie and we agreed to save him.
Collection: Sarah who is one of the 3 staff to be able to befriend Arnie at the Rescue centre we took him from
Travelling to Earlswood Park
Lunchtime
Earlswood Common Escape: Tight harness on and then suddenly he wriggles and was free..and bolted. Arnie is tonight 'running loose' in a Park close to the Gatwick kennels. He is a very nervous dog with humans. He circled around to where he broke loose and has been staying around the upper lake of Earlswood Problem is the more pressure people put on him the more scared he will be. Dog wardens aware and have sighted him. We sighted him again about 7.30 tonight. Going there again in the morning. won't put it on Dogs Losts as located just a case of catching a slippery eel! He approachs dogs but owners frighten him away by trying to get near.

Caught!! Angel Gabrielle had his trust and managed to catch him - he was calm by the time we had him back in Lynnes care, poor lad was just scared. _________________ A Staffie kiss a day keeps the doctor away
Have just been in to see Arnie. He is tucked up in his cosy bed, heat lamp above him. He ate a hearty dinner and is now resting after his Big Adventure!!! _________________ Alyson Reilly

Arnie is a gentleman a comedian a softie a monkey and much more !! Adores Toby you say look see Toby and he disappears off to find him very clever young man . Maggie who is lazy by trade keeps out his way in case he wants her to run she doesn't do running ..
Thanks for all your hard work and I am sure Arnie has a bright future here in Newmarket.
Arnie has had a busy schedule today...... He has met a lot of dogs out and about tail up and wagging. We found an enclosed area usually used for exercising horses so it was safe to let him free he went round and round flat out with Toby tumbling all over the place. He watched the hares rolled in smelly things ! He stood in washing up bowl to have paws cleaned, ate his dinner and now curled up on sofa _________________ I have 1 terrier from woodgreen and 2 from terrier rescue. I work for a big racehorse trainer in Newmarket ... which has its moments!
