The following photos are the best I could do with a dog who is fast and curious (luckily not furious) and is difficult to catch in pose mode. However, there are some that are quite nice and she did occasionally succumb and pose after all.
The first one is Bronte enjoying herself in a massive field. She is very affectionate - a lolliping wet (from the early morning dew) dog lovingly hurling herself at you is both painful AND endearing.
The rest are in the garden, where I hoped for better shots with the heavier camera. Truth is it was always on automatic because I am a technophobe unfortunately - anyway, here goes............ |

There were more nice ones but I think the forum has had enough Because it is now rejecting them all. Anyway - she is fine and loved and happy. |

Oh boy do I feel like a dingbat
I hadn't read the posts closely enough (too busy drooling over the pictures of Bronte). As I looked at those last piccies after the first one I thought ' goodness a Spice lookalike' then as I scrolled down I thought ' it can't be' and then the penny dropped
Danielle - how wonderful, what a lovely pack you have and how silly of me to make the comment about 'children' having met your youngest daughter at the Fun Day
So wonderful to see our little Spicey looking so well too |

Lucky, lucky Bronte and how absolutely fantastic to see Spice there as well - I think everyone will agree with me when I say that you are the perfect home for a RR dog (or 3....!) |

I will have to sort the other photos out another time to reduce them etc.
Karen I am flabbergasted that you should remember the make-up of my family or even remember me from the fun day but then of course it was quite memorable for the wrong reasons I suppose as we heard about Alfie at the end of the day. Still, happier times now and I will keep you all updated. xx |

Hi, All, Just to let you know that Bronte has been to the vet today (she came to live with us two weeks ago yesterday). She had her second vax and her microchip. I am happy to say that she is no longer chronically underweight and has put on 4 kilos in that two weeks. The receptionists were very taken with her as you can see in the photo and I don't think we will have too much trouble getting her to go there again (not that we did today).

Thought some of you may like to see some pictures of Bronte and how well she is looking now - I apologise in advance for the large amount of pictures and the small amount of writing - it takes a long time to get the pictures ready and have to get back to work.....

What lovely pictures
She's such a pretty girl
We have a charity walk in Eastbourne this Saturday (see the Events section) - would be lovely to see some of the local rehomed dogs if you have nothing else on |

I'm sorry to say we have had something else planned for a while now but we wish you all the best with the fantastic initiative.
I guess I have a moment to say that Bronte is actually a tiny lap dog (.....in her head........)
And that there may be something supernatural going on.........

You have no idea how happy you've made me by sharing those photos of Bronte
All those months she waited in our kennels, frightened and so thin until the wonderful RR offered her the chance she needed that led her to you. Thank you so much for giving her such a fabulous home |

Sadly for all concerned Bronte has needed to come back into our care. Living with 2 terriers has proved just too much for our lurcher maiden. We are hoping to find her a home where she can relax at home as an only dog. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier..they are their own persons!
