Well it is now official - Barney a complete star with rosettes to prove it!!
Here is an update from Corri :
| Quote: | Hello! I thought you'd like these pics of our little star! We went to Bradwell flower show last week, & Jade took Barney into the dog show, its only a small, family one. He got 4th in the 'Scruffiest dog' class, but he really wasnt the scruffiest there so we were pleased with that! But before that, she took him in the 'Handsomist dog' class.
There were
about 20 dogs in it, & some were gorgeous. And Barney got 2nd place!!!!
He
was so good, and we were so proud of him! The pics are of him with his rosettes, in the second 1 he is trying 2 eat them though!! They are still doing well at agility, although if the tunnel is near any jump he's doing, he goes off roaring through that 2! Its not on next monday, but the week after, Barney & the spaniel graduate 2 the next class up, so they will both probably cause chaos to start with!!
|
And of course the photographic proof :

I'd just like 2 add, about the photo of him laying nicely with his rossettes - it took alot of takes 2 get that one, there were far more pics of him eating them. I think he was still on a high & feeling pleased with himself for winning them!! He knows he's a star!! |

Barney looks better in his asbo coat than Peanut does in her red little devil. He could be Peanut Bruv. Thank god he has landed on his feet or in Barneys case a wheel barrow _________________ Sue - Chessington

I cant believe its been 6 months already that Barney has been living with us & yet it feels like he's been here forever!! He fitted in as one of our family from the first day, & has always felt like it was 'meant to be'! I saw his picture on the terrier rescue website the day after it had been put on & he was living 5 minutes up the road! I'm so grateful to the police who found him, the rescue kennels he was taken to, Terrier Rescue, & Tony and Ruth who brought him back to life. If it wasnt for all these people I wouldnt havent the most wonderful little dog asleep by my feet now! |

w look :
| Quote: | Hello!
Don't know if you remember us, we adopted Barney (Jack Russell) from Ruth & Tony Brewster via Terrier Rescue.
He's been with us a whole year now!! I can't believe its 1 year already & yet it feels like he's been here forever!
He's come such a long way in the last year. It has been hard work at times, he has 'issues' as I'm sure many rescue dogs have, his main one is with men he doesnt know. But he's got alot better recently.
All our family & friends love him, including my 2 cats! He is so loving & will do anything for attention, or food, preferably both!
My daughter, Jade has been going to dog agility with him, & they've got their level 1 certificate. He loves it, & when he's concentrating is really good at it. Occasionally he gets a bit carried away, completely ignores Jade & goes roaring off through the tunnel & over the A-frame & a few jumps on his own, while I sit watching trying to laugh quietly!!
We've taken him on holiday to Scotland twice. He couldn't care less about the 10 hour drive & finds service stations quite interesting! There was alot of snow last time we went & which he loved tunnelling in!
As I said, it has been hard work but I'm so happy we got him. For all the love we've given him, he's given back double. Every day that he's been with us, he's done something that's made me smile
So, a million thanks again!!

Another lovely update from Corri and a couple of holiday snaps from Scotland!!
| Quote: | Hello!
Yes thanks, got micro chip documents, all ok.
Barneys still wonderful! Getting on well with agility, & still loves it. We still see Tony & Ruth Brewster & their dog Jake, who Barney loves! Here a couple of pics from our last trip 2 Scotland in august!

Hello! Well tomorrow its 2 years since Barney was rescued, so officially its his 4th birthday!! Which, without all of you & Tony & Ruth, he would never have made it to. He's changed so much & come so far, & still makes us smile everyday!!
