| I cannot agree more with these comments. Smiler has served his time and been of great service to practically every new walker on their induction. A true ambassador for his breed. Thank you for giving Smiler time to smile X |

Smiler loves being part of the family. He will take all the affection you can give him. He is certainly a people dog. He is very well behaved with both my daughters and is particularly gentle around the younger one who is 8. He enjoys treats and takes them gently. He loves playing with his kong! He settles well at night and sleeps on his bed at the foot of the stairs so he can make sure we are all safely in our beds!

So, this is the best news ever. No dog I have walked at Gatwick South deserved to find his home more than our dear friend Smiler. He is really missed, but GS walkers will be shedding tears of joy to know he will at last have his chance to settle and enjoy the real comforts and love of his own home.
Sending hugs and good wishes Smiler and new family and PLEASE keep in touch. You have many fans waiting for news of your new life. |

I had the pleasure of reacquainting Smiler with Rory today. Rory had adopted Smiler about 18 months ago but had to return Smiler to RR after a spat between Rory's Staffie Lucy and Smiler. Since then Lucy has sadly passed over to Rainbow Bridge and Smiler was foremost in Rory's thoughts when the time came for him to own another Staffie. Today was the first time I'd met Smiler but it was obvious why Rory thinks so highly of him, a lovely chunky little Staffie who melts the heart with ease.
We took Smiler for a nice walk and, despite Smiler's issues with other dogs being apparent, there was never any doubt that he'd be leaving in Rory's car and off to enjoy the rest of his life.
One thing I have to mention is that Rory didn't care one bit about Smiler not being too good around other dogs, he wanted a doggy companion to suit his lifestyle and was more concerned about Smiler's personality in the home rather than out of it, a very refreshing outlook and one to be admired.
Rory will update to let us all know how Smiler is getting on once he has settled in to his new life. All the excitement knowing Smiler was off to start his new life with a new best buddy. |

Hi Rory
You came to visit Smiler while he was in foster with me. I'm so pleased the little boy is back with you! Wonderful news! He will have a superb home. You are a star for giving him a second chance.
And surprise surprise I adopted Branston _________________ KERSTIN xxx |
