31st Dec 2009..........

Our websites                     terrierrescue    staffierescue   rescueremedies
Paypal   Income  Dec 09         £810                £1027                  £831

Unique hits per day             approx 210     approx  100      approx  140

Dogs homed 2009     105           81           51
Total 237 plus others we have passed on to other rescues like Zac; Yoda, WestieRescue

The Facts
We are paying around £5400 for kennelling a month  and around £1000 vet bills

We take on the more difficult terriers and most of our staffies are direct from the pounds. 95% of our adult dogs would have been put to sleep had we not stepped forwards for them.

We sadly put 4 dogs to sleep last year Lucky JRT very old and fading on intake; Donny Collie had unpredictable biting with confused body language. Trevor Rotti had no trust in people other than his owner who surrendered him to go abroad. Scooby Crossbreed who had a chronic rare condition rendering his life painfull and his actual condition critical.

We neutered  170  dogs in 2009  other rescues/vets neutered 16 for us
all our adults we homed neutered.

A fabtastic year  we work as a team where every offer of help matters. Its hard often scary sometimes sad sad work but what outcomes.

Buzz (Chuzzlewit) was our last homing of the year

6th Jan 10 Wednesday Picture of the day

Tiny Molly Oh how you make us laugh!

Stories of the day: Everything came to a halt with the snow but oh how our dogs love it!

Ben (Hamish) now homed. News on Bonnie (Tracey) little Miss perfect has walked 6 miles to work with her owner today as the car was stuck. Saffy went to the vets for her spay site became infected and now on Antibiotics thanks to John's 2 1/2 hour trip to travel 3 miles. Dee has had a very busy day but leads she had went around in circles a little. People applying for pets without having neutered their pets then getting upset with us, was a favour for me. Funny day -busy doing little. Oh but very busy, getting no further forwards... like trugging through snow! Thank God so many of our dogs are in the warmth in foster.  I'm delighted with the Rescue Remedies site revamp...thanks to Secret Squirrel

8th Jan 10 Friday Picture of the day

Mary as pretty as her picture!

Story of the day: Lots of activity. Bertie JRT and Princess were adopted officially today Florence reserved now homechecked. Spotlight stronglead moved from Rhianna to ...Ky. We agreed to take Jodie an 18 month Staffie cross bitch in Monday unspayed ++ Harry comes Sunday  Bruno SBT comes Monday. Evie Rottie got upset in vets without anyone she knew there so now booked in for treatment and spay with our vets Tuesday. Marmaduke being met tomorrow as is Rhona. Ava goes into temp foster tomorrow; as does Buddy Pursuing foster for Rex and Percy. Musky and Patch come Sunday weather permitting. Another good Staffie home being explored. Sparkle passed her cat test as we expected she would. Found Jingle's original name was Jinx thought it was rescue name but actually name she was a surrender so changed to this

Terrierrescue domain name was officially made over into our name today so is safe. About to pilot online questionnaire for TR in next few days. Short fall of about £4K currently on bill paying so chasing reserved homes to bring money in any fund raising ideas appreciated... or ideally emergency foster places for Cassie; Blake and Phoebe who are snowed in currently and need warmth of a home be it temp..and save us money!
