Crying or Very sad Little Iris went to the vets this morning and she has developed a fever and has swollen glands. She has had an injection and is on antibiotics to help her through. She, however, doesn't seem to relaise that she is not well and was as enthusiastic in her greetings as ever Rolling Eyes

She has been left some warm bedding for the weekend and hopefully, if she can be kept quiet, the medication will begin to work quite quickly.

Such a good little girl, both in the car and in the vets. Just wish she had a warm home to stay in Crying or Very sad

While we were there, she was microchipped as well.

How old are the children in question?  She loved my 12 year old when she walked her last week.  Mind you, Iris loves everyone, bless her heart!

Hi,

Iris seems such a beautiful dog!! -( in all ways.) Just the kind of dog I am looking to give a loving home to but am moving from own house in London to Tunbridge Wells - overlooking the common - probably mid Jan. Also have a nine year old ginger cat called Clarence... she does seem a lovely dog, a one off - Wyatt was another of my favourites. Hope she is well soon.

I am pleased to say that the lovely Iris is snoozing by my feet as i type!!!! She is a lovely little dog and not only does her bum never stop moving, neither does her tail!!!!!!!!

She was very good in the car, she kept trying to sit on my lap for a bit but soon settled into the passenger seat (don't worry, she had a doggie seatbelt on!!) She was sick towards the end of her journey but it is a very long way  Sad

She LOVED going for a walk and just kept trying to follow Lucie. She seems more responsive to the tone of your voice, rather than her name but came back happily when called (she was on a long line so wasn't off the lead but did have a bit of freedom)

She wouldn't eat anything this evening but it has been rather a big day for her so we will just see how she is in the morning. She was very excited to see the cats (they were less impressed with her!!!  Laughing  Laughing ) but not in an agressive way, just curious. She sniffed my youngest cat without an ounce of agression, she hasn't met the rabbits yet!!!!

Her cough is quite bad, it's very deep and hacking and i am hoping that her medicine starts to take effect soon. I gave her some honey to soothe her throat-she wasn't impressed at that, she DOES NOT like honey!!!!!  Laughing  Laughing

Oh I so hoped that little girl was headed for your home Tina. The best care in the world from you will make her better in no time.

Seriously so pleased she is in a loving home rather than a kennel.

Give her a big doggy kiss from her mate Suzi and all at RR who are routing for her.

So Happy.

Spoke to Tina this evening and I could hear Iris coughing in the background.  She is quite bad.

So relieved she isn't in kennels and she couldn't be in better hands - well done Tina  Very Happy
