An anxious day today as my "Little Miss" was in the vet to be spayed. She is home now and is sleeping off her anesthetic. She had to also have three teeth out, her gums cut (due to an infection) and a lump removed from her mammory gland. She also has an ear infection in one ear, which we now have drops for. We are trying something to see if it alleviates her itching. She looks a bit sorry for herself but has already tried to come upstairs to find me when i dared to leave her alone for a bit! I am sure she will feel a whole lot better tomorrow.

Everyone in the vets fell in love with her and the vet nurse said that she had TWO people who would want her if she wasn't already reserved!!!

Confused Poor little mite - however, I am sure she is receiving all the love and care she could wish for. A good nights sleep and I am sure she will begin to feel better tomorrow.

Great news...unfortunately Holly has a skin condition which gets worse with cats and rabbits. Her first family who we homechecked for had both cats and rabbits But her new family has neither and understands she has a skin condition and their love overrides this! Await further news Wink

Yep it sure does Wink Both John & I were both totally smitten by her on day one, but then we are already Westie fans as we have Sadie (an RR dog). Here is Holly - the girl we totally fell in love with ...

We have put her on Nature Diet Fish plus fish oil which we hope will help her skin condition. Would be interested to hear any other tips from Westie owners as we understand Westies are prone to this.  In fact our Sadie had some skin/fur issues which have now cleared up. Will be doing some research.

I will also now be focusing on looking for a cat/furry friendly Westie for the first family too and will be trawling the various sites I post the RR dogs on.

Well what can I say ... Christmas has indeed come early in our household - tinsel, bunting and party in full swing! Wink

Holly has been getting used to our routine and has been quick to pick it up.  We have had no house-training accidents and she goes to the door if you ask if she wants to go out and then off she trots, squats and returns smiling knowingly - she just knows she has been such a good girl!

She has slept downstairs with Lady & Sadie and we haven't heard a peep from her - not sure if she is in with one of them or on her own, but there are plenty of beds to go round. Of course Tex sleeps upstairs with top dog ... me!

She is very sweet natured and gives wonderful cuddles. Loves her walk with the pack and rubs along really well with them all.  They have all been very good with her too.  In fact, I noticed her flirting a little with Tex yesterday - the look on his face when she kissed him was "OK, well whatever ... pah women"!

She loves her food and I turned my back for a second yesterday and she managed to stick her nose in Tex's bowl while he was eating.  What did he do ... tried to eat it all up in record speed while her nose was in there!  Not a growl or anything ... he is such a good boy.  Have introduced natural live bio yoghurt to them all for desert!  They love it and it should help with Holly's skin/coat.

We are off to the vet tomorrow to get her spay stitches removed.  Will try and take some piccies at the weekend.

Oh and one more thing ... boy is she CUTE with a CAPITAL C!
