Woody is a little dog that will really make you smile. Just watching him trotting along, you can see that he's happy, confident and interested in everything going on around him. He's certainly got plenty of get up and go, but is very easy to walk. We saw squirrels and a deer today on our walk and he was interested but didn't make a mad dash to investigate - he stood and watched for a while though. His kennel was immaculate again when we collected him. He must have been holding everything in cos I've never known a dog to cock his leg as much as Woody did today. He loves his treats, sits perfectly for them and takes them gently. He was a real pleasure to be with.

We had a lovely walk with Woody and Tegan today. He likes company and I think he would have been happy to have more attention from Tegan than he got! We walked near a road and he took no notice of the traffic. There was also an army exercise in the woods today and he wasn't bothered at all. He likes being made a fuss of and loves his treats. He's a real character.

Woody is now with me, Ian and our Molly. He's is an absolute comedian; he really makes me laugh with his odd little walk and his unbelievable enthusiasm for everything. Molly not massively impressed at the moment; she keeps pushing him out of the way,and looking at me to say 'What is HE doing here??'. Am going to leave them to it to establish the rules, and only intervene if really necessary. He is a total delight!

Laughing So, so pleased for Woody - he had a long walk out with Tegan today so hopefully will settle in a nice warm bed tonight - what a lovely thought Laughing

Thank you, Sally - I am sure he will pay his way in entertainment value Wink

I've never met such a funny dog; he is currently sleeping on Ian's chest on the couch with his bottom hanging over the edge!

Woody is doing very well. He has really settled in; very relaxed and confident. I think he must have had a male owner as he is devoted to Ian. He and Molly haven't had any incidents so far, and seem to be getting on fine. They both eat together and respect each other's space. He loves other dogs; trotted over to meet an enormous Rottie today, no fear at all. He is hilarious; he loves his football and keeps trying to lift it into his bed. He started growling at it because it wasn't cooperating!!

Bit of a nasty cough today, so off to the vets tomorrow.

Have been thinking about Woody today - hope everything is OK. He made such an impression in his short time with us, everybody is asking after him.

He had some bad coughing this morning, but has been absolutely fine all day, even with three long walks. He desperately tries to keep up with Molly who races around the woods with her long Whippet/Lurcher legs!
Will sort out pics for tomorrow,
x
