Arnold has found his pack we hope.  Here he is with Wendy who fell for him big time having been looking for her 3rd rescue. Her first rescue was one of Jess the Staffie's pup via Joanne (Jess was found preXmas 07 on a London street being given away pregnant and close to birth.)

Just to let you know Arnold's doing really well so far.  We've been for a lovely long walk it was great to see him really enjoying himself with his new friends.  He has been brilliant with the cats and kids so far and is clearly a huge softy that wants nothing more that some love and to feel safe and secure.  He has become my shadow today - I think he sees me as his protector from this big scary world.  He's making inroads with my other dogs too.  Elsie is pleased to have a new friend, Harry kind of likes him and wants to play but I think has his nose out of joint a bit.  A few grumbles here and there but nothing serious.  Arnold being very sensible and subservient.  I'm hopeful that a few days of sensible handling will help even things out.  Such a lovely boy.  LOVES our stream.  Done a lot of paddling today.

Seemed a bit stiff in the back legs today after his walk?  Anyone notice that before - anything picked up by the vets?

Awwww, we so love Arnold   love7   He's such a softie.  Never more than a few metres from my side, but so good when he has to be left for an hour or so.  And really starting to settle in - integrating much more rather than retreating always to a safe spot.  He had a proper play with Elsie today, and Harry is starting to get used to him.  Smile  Only one growl today and they belted along on the walk together beautifully.  Pack walking is doing them all very good by realising it's ME in charge!  Oh, just think he's beautful.

He's fantastic with cats but is desparate to eat my guinea pigs and rabbit!!!  Naughty Arnold.  Am going to have to keep very close watch of that as he's getting the other two excited about the too!

I am always amazed at how dogs can differentiate between species. I have had dogs come here who have total respect for my tiny Chihuahua x - who is half the size of my cats - and are absolutely terrified of him but would happily kill one of my cats if given half the chance...Rolo and Stan come to mind. I have had many more who completely ignore the cats, but are driven crazy by the ferrets, rabbits, chinchillas and rats.

How wonderful! Arnold's family are loving him and wanted to bring the Trial adoption to an abrupt end..apparently we can't have him back!
