I am so sorry that you lost your lovely dog Jasper. Can you bear to tell me what happened to him?
Best wishes Simon

thanks for all the thought guys.......
@simon......jasper was very dog aggressive and was stolen from our home by someone who took nothing else.
We have all the usual gadgets, playstation 3 etc, i'd left money in the house......the only thing taken was the dog. The police said at the time that someone had probably seen me out with him and followed me home, as he was a very big muscular boy.
He was chipped, which allowed the police to identify him. He was found upstairs, dead in the bathroom of a house that was raided for drugs. I was stunned to learn that it was teenaged kids who had taken him to fight him and, from the evidence given - which i wont go into - he evidently was not up to the task which they wanted him for, he was very badly injured and they euthanised him in a very brutal way. The kids involved received a CAUTION for what they did to him. Not to mention the fact that their mother KNEW.
This brings me to tears just to write it, as, although he was badly dog aggressive, he was a part of my family, and great with children and people. A big softy who captured our hearts and never put a foot wrong in our home. He slept under my sons beds, and loved them to pieces. You get some dogs who will just tolerate children, and then you get some that ust love them to bits. Jaspers whole world brightened up when I brought the children home from school. When I took him on I was quite wary as he was a very big boy and I didnt have much history for him, but he adored them, never even jumped up on them.
I have hundreds of photos and memories of him in the garden with the kids and the hose.....lol.....sleeping on the sofa in the evening....with me at home during the day, just me and him....that dog knew all my secrets lol.....he was so well behaved, he never even chewed anything - apart from the damned hose which he loved. He also once chewed...because I left it out like an idiot....A tin of bright blue paint which I had left on my patio....duh! Painted the whole garden with that, if the neighbours had seen me they would have thought i was mad and the kids were killing themselves as I chased him around the garden....the entire place ended up painted blue and even I ended up laughing because he just thought it was a blast!
I will never ever forget you mate, your cuddles in the evening, your big kisses, your ridiculously big staffy smile, your stopping to nudge and lick the children when they bumped themselves or fell over no matter how excited you were....your nuttiness when people visited.
RIP Jasper xxx |

I can't think of the words that would be comfort enough for you, just want to hug you and make the horror of it go away.
You still have such beautiful memories of Jasper and his characterful ways and now new beginnings with Roscoe, best wishes to you all. _________________ SHARONR - ADMIN

I'm so, so sorry for your tragic loss. He was obviously loved very much and was lucky to have such a wonderful home and family. It is beyond words what those scum have done. If only the sentences reflected the crime! And their so called mother! I only hope they suffer in a similar way. |

What terrible wickedness. When we read of dogs being badly treated because people are ignorant or careless, it is heartbreaking enough. But to do this deliberately, is simply wicked.
