Homing Requirements: A Young longer legged slender framed Staffie full of affection. Came into rescue as a 8 month no negative background just hadn't had the training put into him. Walks well with other dogs when gently introduced. Needs good sized secure garden. Needs his needs met so best not to live with young children..oldr more experienced children will help him find his feet. Suffers from kennel stress so not for holidays in kennels! 'Only pet' to find his confidence.
His Story: Zebedee was found stray and has got stuck in kennels because everytime he comes out of kennels he bring his young enthusiastic energy out with him and need time to settle and meet. He is loving and needs love, training. This is a very very special dog.
Advert: Zebedee is a wonderful lad who wants to please and love - just so happy with every chance he is given. He needs further work to support his skill acquisition. Can be exuberant on meeting straight from his kennel but after foster we understood this soon leaves him in a home environment. He is a favourite in our rescue. Such a handsome lad who doesn't cope in the kennel situation yet has been trapped in this world.
Zebedee deserves his family. He is such a sincere character who is so happy to be in company. A family who have had a dog before will rate zebedee very highly. They need to understand how to offer a dog confidence who has missed out; a family who understands his needs. Zebedee is not a problem dog he has gained a lot of confidence despite being in kennels he just has a little way further to go. Our rescue is that "magic roundabout" for Zebedee to spring onto stable land and into his family as their cherished pet. He needs a good sized secure garden and firm footed owners that believe in him, which comes on first meeting. He will quickly become that solid loving and dependable pet.
He is brilliant, bright... positively and simply our favourite!
Please visit Zebedee's individual thread, in Dogs needing homes in Kennels on our forum to find out more about him and follow his progress.
If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
"Please note that this dog is currently in kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found"

We have taken over Zebedee's care as of today. Further details to follow but here are some pictures of the lovely lad. All neutered, vax'd and so ready to go. He is already a favourite with our Rescue as he has been cared for and walked being within Croydon kennels

So glad Zebedee is with us now! Now he can get more walks and socialisation. I have taken him out walking with our gang already and on the lead he has been mixing well with male and female dogs. In his kennel though he shows more of a problem with other dogs. He is another one who has lost his voice a bit but still manages to make enough noise to let you know that sitting drinking tea at the cafe was much less fun than walking! Loves his cuddles and giving you a good face wash.

I walked Zebedee today. Absolutely adorable little thing, oooh so cute! Really quite small and a bit thin too, poor little lad! He also seemed a little bit nervous and unsure of things. All he needs is a loving home with someone to feed him up, give him lots of cuddles and assurance, and he'll be the loyalest loveliest friend back to you. As it was I got some lovely cuddles and face washes!! He even has an 'endearing' habit of wanting to give you a kiss as soon as he's had a drink of water.... gets that extra sloppy-ness into it, mmm, lovely!
Took Zebedee out today and mostly had a lovely walk except his natural exhuberance did not go down well with the stately Tiger Lily. They soon settled their differences though and walked alongside each other nicely. It is a joy to see this boy coming along now. I'm sure with lots of good experiences and a bit more maturity he will improve all the time. Mixing better all the time so long as it's sensible. Didn't have time to stop for cuddles today which was a shame as he gives such lovely Staffie licks.

Took Zebedee out 1st today as he hadn't been out for a while, really settled in the kennel now, got the harness on quickly with no fuss.
He really is an eager little dog, doesn't pull just keeps the lead taut. He will 'sit' well if a car approaches, isn't fazed by people, traffic, livestock or cyclists.
He got plenty of fuss and attention at the halfway point which he responded to well by making a big fuss of me
Donna walked Zebedee today while I walked Tammy. He was bouncy at first in his excitement but soon settled. Very focussed at the cafe when he realised there may be bits of a ham sandwich on offer for good behaviour. He did lovely calm sits. They walked back side by side interacting minimally but nicely. Zebedee got a bit more interested once Tammy said hello to Bobby.

Zebedee again came to the cafe for lunch. Walked nicely on his halti although did protest a little. Made friends with some workmen at the cafe and managed to get some chips for sitting nicely. Walked quite quietly back afterwards. Lots of lovely face licks for my daughter when he got a chance, but luckily she is quite used to that

Emma asked if I'd take Zebedee out today as he appears to be suffering a bit of kennel stress. He was keen in the kennel but sat quite well when he realised I was putting a harness on him, not a halti.
On the walk he was very good, he kept the lead taut but didn't pull hard. He responds well to commands, ie wait, stay & sit, he is eager to get where he's going even if he doesn't know were that is.
At the halfway point I watered him and gave him a few treats, he'll sit and paw for you happily, but his favourite trick seemed to be taking a big drink, then shaking his head all over me followed by licking my face and neck
On the way back, we stopped and spoke to girl asking directions and Zebedee behaved perfectly, didn't jump up at her, just sat and waited. He's still not fazed by cyclists, joggers or vehicles.
I'll try and give this chap a bit more attention, maybe even get him for the day next week.
Zebedee was getting very frustrated in kennels. He is such a people-dog that the fact that he could not interact with his favourite past time was sending him crazy. He started to show signs of kennel stress and I am afraid that is something that is just NOT allowed with us!
As luck would have it, we have just had some new funky kennels built in the orchard area of the kennels and these are spacious and in full view of all the comings and goings of the kennel working day.
He is like a changed dog. He is happy to chill when he is not being exercised and even at exercise time he is not pacing looking for people because he has constant interaction with them throughout the day. When they walk past they say hello and he gets extra cuddles which suits him fine. When he goes out in the field he explores and sniffs about and is far more relaxed about life in general.

I saw Zebedee in the new kennels this morning looking eager, so he was first walk of the day. He's definately more chilled in these kennels and he was harnessed up in no time.
On the walk he was great, taut lead, no pulling, stops and waits on command, sits on command.
We did another 2-mile walk today, so he's had some decent exercise this week, I've promised him a day out next week so that'll give him something to look forward to over the weekend.
I gave Zebedee a walk today to make up for walking past his kennel so often the past few weeks!!
Wow, if anyone wanted a dog for cuddles and laughter, Zebedee is SOO your man. He's so unique and makes me giggle so much. Very exciteable at first but this just adds to the fun in my opinion, I don't actually find it difficult to get his harness on. Just more fun He loves his cuddles but isn't too overpowering; instead of some of the intense face washes I've received from others, Zebedee is just content to ensure he has at least one paw on you (but preferably two!), and gazes lovingly into your eyes. Who can resist that? He gets all the cuddles he wants Definitely a people dog, will adore yo whoever you are. Gorgeous little guy.
