At the end of April Troy has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. The only chance for him is to have the leg amputated, which he had. Troy has been less and less willing to walk and a huge lump came up on his remaining hind leg over the last few days . Rob our vet. came to the conclusion that this was a severe outbreak of arthritis, either as the result of an infection, but more likely due to wear and tear. After much soulsearching we decided that we had reached the end of the road and my handsome boy was given peace in his favourite patch of sun in the kitchen.
We all tried all we could, but there were no miracles. i think my heart will break

Crying or Very sad Oh, Elaine, I am so very sorry to hear that  Crying or Very sad

My heart goes out to you and you will be in my thoughts. I hope you can take some comfort from the fact that you did everything you could and made the end as peaceful as possible.

Sweet dreams Troy, free of all pain.

Hi Elaine

I really don't know what to say to you to give you comfort.  What you have written in your post has brought back to me how I felt when I lost Charley last year and there truly are no words.

I am feeling for you and can only say I hope with each passing day your broken heart heals if only just a little and you can concentrate your thoughts on all the good times with a true smile.

Best wishes, thinking of you.
Sharon

Troy had the very best of lives and such care, such attention  as his time came near. All our thoughts are with you and your family Elaine. He is smiling again, running again and ever close by.
