10th June Wednesday
Picture of the day
Teddy Chihuahua x..still in his home needs an active life..don't forget Teddy!
Sad Story of the Day Staffie owner had 6 staffies all living together happily and became ill. 2 of them given into a pound which could mean they are put to sleep within a day of arrival if the pound is full. We have come forwards for them Sheila and her son Teddy
Fun Story of the day My friend Lemon came about after Stu came home with (apart from other stuff) a lemon. Pooch decided that as it was yellow, it must be a tennis ball. Hillarious watching him parading around with it, with a slight bitter squint in his eye. Took it everywhere with him for a couple of days, in fact it lastest longer than a tennis ball!! Sad to say though.....'lemon' has now gone to that great G & T in the sky. x x Pooch's Mum
Sorted all our emails out today should be in full working order now.
Dogs IN Nancy and Minx coming to us in next few days

Can't believe wonderful Derek is still with us .. how wonderful do they have to be!
Sad Story of the Day Bruno's story is one of the saddest ... because we know it, how many stories do we not know!
Fun Story of the day Bella on the way to the vets sitting in the front seat of the car. She kept an eye on the road, another on the pavement and her third eye on me. If I stopped at traffic lights and looked over at her fine; prolonged look and she was called into her Staffie duties and had to lean over and lick, lick. On the way back from being spayed she lay low. Got home to the kennels and went in the paddock did her little wee and walked over to her gate. In her kennel and straight to bed ... "give me a call in the morning ...make sure I don't over sleep nite, nite!"

Freddie is going to capture someone's heart soon surely Super terrier.
Sad Story of the Day Gem arrived today having run out of time in the pound. She is so thin her ribs can be counted and obviously is starving in the sense of food searching. She has proved she can jump a 7 -8 ' gate today. Oh how simple it was to go explore...
Fun (or sad)Story of the day Glenn, like Toby (my own dogs) are interested in flies about the place. Sadly though Glenn has the knack and sits on the window ledges and follows the fly and then oh no, feels the live fly in his mouth then spits it out, often I'm able to rescue it and put it away into safety.

Smiffy at last has gone into FVH today Hurrah!!!!
Sad Story of the Day Frank got over heated on his walk today and collapsed and became unconscious. Quick thinking on everyones part helped him pull through.
Mindy came in as an emergency. She went into a home with very young children straight from a pound. She got nervous and snapped at a over confident visitor just 48 hours into the home. Family suddenly got nervous and she had to come out. We were told she was to be held until Thursday then returned to the pound. We couldn't have that. Emergency funding to be sorted for her first 2 weeks to help us out.

Picture of the day
What a pleasure it was to help Derek out..just one month and he has found a holiday forever home in Torquay and oh is he going to have a lovely life with Dudley his friend.
Sad Story of the Day Rolo is back with Emma..she is gutted as the home set up a nervous tension which escalated into 'rolled up newspaper' treatment..Rolo we're so sorry Babe. Some people talk the talk but stumble on the first step..we're so pleased he is back and safe.
Fun Story of the day Is it really June!..Wednesday one flea on Brandy, examed, no others seen. Thursday one flea on Eddie, examed, no others seen. Friday morning one on Glenn..6 dogs frog marched through the shower and Glenn found to be holding a family wedding! So they were all dried in the sun then all had flea treatments whilst the washing machine kicked into the over-drive!
