8th Oct Thursday

Picture of the day
Tiger Lily love7  love4  love5 least you forget how much we all love you.

Stories of the day: One thing you can never do is plan for the next day..you have to flow. Suddenly Evette and Marie need to go back into kennels so the journey to Portsmouth Area to collect Ellie is also pick up Evette journey. Then loop around via Croydon to go the Gatwick North Terminal kennels. Meeting Ellie was a delight... but have you noticed...4 medium crossbreed bitches similar ages and proportions  Amba; Dior; Ellie and Bronte  add in a few more red bitches and Tia; Marie; and dogs Alfie; Minx; Jaspa and Jasper. Our RED phase!

Dee has been hard at it all day trying to catch up (hate to tell her she never will be on top of it). Kennel Fund is bringing invaluable funds to help us.  Be assured how carefully we spend money, every penny counts and we try so hard to keep the kennel and vet bills down whilst ensuring our dogs welfare is paramount.  Such a dedicated support from our vol. dog walkers who have grown to love our staffies and terriers....

Had the thought today of
'HUG A STAFFIE' day with people encouraged to sign up to come to our kennels, have a Reception party for people to meet our loves to dispell the distorted imPRESSions they have gained. Like Nov 7th with vol. at each kennels 10-2? So many people with a geniune feelings to rescue are discovering the dogs who need them most!

Move into kennels Evette  Marie Ellie
Move into foster Monty

9th Oct Friday

Picture of the day
Dear Minx how much your life has changed Crying or Very sad  Hoping a sensible owner will come forwards and enjoy your wealth of gifts and help you build your trust in dogs again.

Stories of the day: Errol at the vets; tip top ready for his home now. First time the dogs have been walked at Gatwick South...  Dee busy busy catching up with trillions of questionnaires but nothing concrete so homing continues to be 'paused'. I'm trying to get my garden ready for the winter so had an afternoon with the dogs digging up the bulbs I was planting  Wink  Wonderful feedback from fosterers the bedrock of our Rescue.

Lots of compliments coming in for our rescue currently. People are loving our websites; finding them via adverts Sharon posts far and wide and becoming addicted to our Forum seeing the genuine work we do. Difficult one when the large rescues have become so callous in their message to people trying to find a place for their dog. Telling us the XXXXX or XXXXXXXXX have told them to put it to sleep or that they probably will. People have consequently 'heard the message' and no way will trust their pets with them.  This puts impossible pressure on us, as we become the last hope for families, knowing in truth we can only help a 'lucky' few.

On to our books Joe Joe Shep x husky taking in next few days
In the vets Errol stitch removal and 2nd vax

16th Oct Friday

Picture of the day
Tofu arrives to meet and greet his new neighbour Jo Jo

Stories of the day: Took MacTarn into kennels trying to settle him as best I could. On return flew out to transport Tofu; Suzi; Tara and Iris into kennels then within 15 mins of return Kathy arrived. Decided to change our plans and take Kathy back in with us and offer Monty a weekends fun with Kirstie and Simon so swaped room arrangments and went to homecheck and place Monty into his holiday home!

Dee has been supporting Jess's (Julia's) Family for some weeks as she nearly was coming back as she will bite if certain people go into the kitchen or around food.  Dee is also supporting other families with issues and is always there for us all!

Into kennels MacTarn; Tofu; Suzi; Tara and Iris
