Stanley makes it out of kennels for the 2nd time. Lets hope we can keep him out and his forever home comes sooooon
Stories of the day Cassie and Melvin doing really well in their homes..Cassie has been over the fence but then spent yesterday helping Ian raise it to 8 ft! Stanley went into foster. Amba welcomed back in kennels and very positive feedback from Kirstie on her 2 weeks foster placement. Asher Staffie was reported to be putting to sleep the next day but talking to his owner they were actually giving him to a 'bleak' pound like rescue who are indiscriminate in who 'buys' their dogs. So now he comes to us and we will offer him the best! Woody explored in vets and enjoyed a 'day out of kennels..special boy. Errol snip and chip. Lively boy very loving; very gentle. Tegan settling in picture will follow she is a tiny Jack with a big spirit! Franks skin improving. Pippa, Tracey and Dior come to us tomorrow, Spayed end of this week; Ashley booked for snip Thursday.
Dee hard at her emails..snowed under but still puppy chuckles. Secret Squirrel sorting out ownership of terrierrescue domiane name as person who set it up for us reg. it in their name! Paid 2 huge vet bills...over £3000 but that has served so many dogs
On to our books Asher
In the vets Errol Woody

Dior... noone has picked it up yet via the pictures but on meeting is obvious in the fur..Dior could easily be Amba's litter sister. She is bigger; hasn't got the overshot jaw, muzzle less black but same shape; musculature; mannerisms; ears! Seems more all-round accomplished than our Amba but she has probably had a more near normal life. Amba is more vulnerable bless
Stories of the day Ruby JRT found her home today! What was a very needed admin day for me turned into calls about dogs; assessing a local dog who comes to us tomorrow and then the usual 90 miles trip to transport and basic assessment of 3 new dogs Dee almost achieved her admin day save about 6 calls! Sharon admin busy as ever don't mention her enough in the diary she is a star!
Adopted Ruby JRT
Met and assessed Asher
In to kennels Tracey Dior and Bruce _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!

Evette and Marie wonderful wonderful dogs
Stories of the day Ashley and Bruce went in to the vets; Brad also had his stitches out. Agreed to take on another unspayed staffie bitch with nowhere to go as of tomorrow Izzie. Becky came back bless her heart she has done so well just needs to be an only pet. Overloaded currently with too much that never seems to get done. Another days neutering tomorrow then hoping to have a lighter week..unless good homes emerge! Mindy's family are supporting her to work through her issues. Bruce's teeth turned out to be fowl..bless his heart, he has been in pain for years. Ashley and Kathy both are looking different dogs in less than a week! Errol is creating a stir and Woody is winning all hearts. We have the best dogs in town!
Adopted
In vets Brad stitches removed Ashley snip and chip Bruce full dental and chip

Stories of the day Tracey and Dior were spayed today. Izzy's owner found another solution so she isn't on our books.2 homechecks today both enthusiastic to get up and comfortable with a staffie! Kathy came into season. Dee's pups had their first walk in the Park. Freddie (Buddy) was lost for 3.5 hours...sorry correction Freddie wasn't lost just busy having slipped his harness, his owners were lost without him! A squeeky toys proved irresistable to the enquiring mind! Arnold is looking for another home sadly for all Gillie comes back into kennels on Sunday.

Oh Chleo what a beautiful dog you truly are
Stories of the day Benson went walkabouts today still had our tag on so notified his family to find he'd just popped across the road to their shock (Plumber in the house and he slipped out! Brad and Raj found their families today. Woody goes into foster tomorrow; Holly came on to our book straight into foster. Good report in on Stanley Gustav is getting the measure of him.
Exhausted today and only now able to see why; the last time I spent a day at home was the 21st Sept, 12 days in the car. Spent the day moving my compost heap and digging the garden! Am going to the kennels tomorrow and doing a homecheck but going to focus on getting the garden ready for the winter whilst answering the phone for a few days!
Adopted Raj Brad

Picture of the day
Little Winnie waits with such patience..has been with us since the 2nd June!
Stories of the day: Met Davy today! Yes the champion in the dog show..you need to meet him in the 'fur' and its obvious ofcourse he'd steal the show. He has matured into a well proportioned glorious dog. I must say I was amazed how spectacular he was, he'd win my first prize! Met Arnold today and whow oh didn't he present as so different. So much more self assured, his coat was so healthy, his vib as wonderful as ever, but less nervous. Our deep thanks go out to our dogs forever homers...sadly we do our best but at the end of the day our dogs are still in rescue. Once settled they lose that air and become magnificent.
Sad news that Misty the westie lost her battle with ill health. Archie came back needing more work, just like Blake, these dogs have such a bad or impoverished starts they take time and sometimes the owner hasn't the skills, and luckily one of our team does. Bruno Shepherd cross still attending training sessions and proving 'Yes he can!' Kathy has a 'safe haven' foster come up for 4-6 weeks as of tomorrow Dylan and Arnold have found their families. So much to do Dee and I could do with a secretary each! But thank you to all the people that do admin jobs for Dee and Davy's family that have taken on prep. for the mail-out of our leaflet to 'homed' dogs. In truth when I went to print off the address labels the CD crashed my computer and Davy's dad said I had 'the blue wall of death' screen! He talked me through a salvation method to retrieve and has taken the disc to see what he can do..Loretta Davy's mum agreed to do the rest!
Adoption Dylan
Trial Adoption Arnold
Word awaited on Buddy PJRT

Asher awaits his special home..second time in rescue through no fault of his own.
Stories of the day: Kathy moved foster to give her time to come through her season and prepare for spay. Big debate is which dog should I take out of kennels. In discussion its Bruce..he comes home with me tomorrow so many need a chance. Yes we have a strong enquiry on Rhianna Poppy TR was visited but wasn't to be so we are making arrangments for her to come into kennels with us. Lots of terriers knocking on our door; always the roar of staffies in need!
Spent the day bringing the websites information up-to-date; Dee spent the day ploughing through the microchip database.
Sometimes its hard for people to understand the way a rescue works and thinks; and you know they can't quite see it and you try to explain but they are not going to get it. Oh how I hate having to bring finance into the adoption equation especially when that minimum sum doesn't even begin to cover the outlay costs we gave to that dog.
Move fosterer Kathy

Zebedee had a name change today as his former name had too much sadness for us as a rescue. So we are relaunching Zebedee..he has been in kennels since about April and is a dog that can't hack kennels Lets hope his home comes soon
Stories of the day: Evette and Marie both came out to be vax'd and go into foster apart. Evette passed in everyway but wanted to play with Cassie resident dog but Cassie is a dog that likes to be left. So Evette comes back tomorrow so we are placing Marie back with her. Collecting Ellie tomorrow so if Poppy TR doesn't come in tomorrow I will take Ellie home until she does. Cindy was met and the family are going to meet her again after they have met Taz (Enfield DR). So she isn't reserved but remains with a family interested in her. Arnold is doing well. Snowy (Kobe) settled in Fab.
Move into foster Evette Marie
Dior to spend the day out on Saturday
