Lovely long walk with Frank

We have a vet appointment on Monday to review his  skin and to try and get further improvement..though it isn't troubling currently.

Frank had a lovely day with me yesterday. He stole many hearts.

We took Frank back to Christabel our vet for her to reassess his skin as by now he really should have been better. She did another skin scrape and examined his skin activity. His demodetic mange (Present in all dogs) is still too high and therefore still has the upper hand. So we are going for anti-mite strong application and also using a herbal formula to boost his immune at the same time on Nikki Epsom Canine Rescue's recommendation. We will knock this on the head now..in one month's time we are determined to see a vast difference.

Frank had lovely pleasant walks met lots of people. Frank is very observant and always shocks me as to actually how much he notices and takes in 'cause he gives the impression of being 'distant to the goings on'. He had both forepaws up on the dash board with his nose to the front window of the car for a lot of the journey just watching the world go by. Also oh if only I had the camera when I was driving back; the positions he gets himself in and falls asleep.

He reacted wonderfully when I got down on the ground at his level with him on my last kennel visit. It was a joy to see him so excited and happy. Havent been able to get him out of my mind since. Would love to see his face happy all the time. He needs to go back into foster in a relaxed environment to give his skin a chance to heal an his immunity a boost. He has many, many fans, but we need that special person/s to come forward for him.

Well we have changed Frank's treatment and he has had a reaction to the new formulae. Frank as been scratching and sore again. We are continuing as we need him to get his 'mite' levels down but also boosting his immune system with special herbs for a 2 fold approach. Poor Frank a temp. 'bad period' to enable you to leave this all behind.

Here he is being comforted by Bounce

Frank's skin is looking much better again now. He was keen to go on his walk through the woods and he even let Lynne decide which way to go. Seems to have lost a bit of his stubborn streak Laughing
He walked happily alongside Charlie although he was not impressed by a large piece of plastic next to the path - that needed checking out. Frank is adored by everyone he meets - let's hope that his skin condition can be brought under control ready for his own special adoring people.  Very Happy

Frank had a lovely walk today with Rhianna and Chloe. In fact he lead us a merry dance and we ended up in midst of brambles, but we found our way out. Skin is beginning to settle.
