Sam had a good nights sleep in his own bed, and we woke up to a very diffferent dog, much more alert and calm.  He had a good breakfast, a potter round the garden, then a little walk to the green at the top of our road.  Then he had a good grooming in the garden in the sunshine.  Then grandad visited with doggie treats - put all this in with lots and lots of fuss and attention and you can imagine ......... he's not enjoying himself one bit  Laughing

Our other two dogs are ignoring him, they'll sniff him every now and then and if he goes over to them then don't shoo him off, so i expect they will let him into the pack in due course  Smile

In the meantime Sam has adopted me and my husband and contentedly follows us around, wagging his tail.

He is a fantastic dog  Very Happy

Just a quick update on sam - he's just the most stubborn, cute, adorable, affectionate, complete munchkin ever - see photo - i love that he sleeps with his tongue poking out  Smile

Last night when we put him to bed he crept over the the other two dogs and snuggled down with them, this is great, i really wanted him to connect with them and i think he's managed it now.

This morning he was sooo excited about his walk to the park, he actually gave us two woofs - the first time we've heard him bark !!!

He's still very much a people dog, and follows us around the house/garden.

Every morning he greets us with the waggiest tail, i just love him to bits  Embarassed

Blimey his coats looks like it's really thickened up - probably contentment!

Got the feeling you would if the excitement at his imminent arrival was anything to go by!  Laughing
