Sadly Amba is on the move. Kirstie and Rod have given her a well earned holiday away from kennels but need to return her on Friday. She has proved herself in everyway but has 'excited' episodes when she begins to want to play tug of war with the lead or clothing. Sometimes is to easy to distract her before it manifests, other times it can be curtailed soon on: But on occassions she gets caught up in it with growling and needs very firm kind handling to get her to calm down and shake herself out of it. Kirstie and Rod circumstance are such she needs to cope with being in a shop during the day so difficult to work through this.
So lets be positive and lets see what comes up for Amba as considering her length of stay in kennels she has proved herself a star! _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!

Magic..in the air. Amba was put up on the website this afternoon and immediately attracted Simon and Suzie who had homed a dog from us 4 yrs ago and sadly have since lost. Simon and Suzie are going to meet Amba with a full handover by Kirstie and Rod..with the view of bringing her home, settling her in and if all works out offering her, her forever home. paws crossed _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!

Amba is back with Alyson. Not really sure what went wrong only that within a few hours of Amba being in her foster home she took a precious ornament and when asked to leave it she snapped with her teeth. Caught the arm but no puncture -completely out of character. Amba has never reacted like this before. Talked it through with Emma and can only think that being new in a house she got excited and if she had been distracted she would have given up the item.
Amba will be my next foster I really wanted to bring her here tonight but I am only allowed 6 dogs in my house _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!

So love this sweetheart we had such a wonderful time together today. Her energy was very calm and she enjoyed lots of cuddles. Lots and lots of cuddles. _________________ You can't train the terrier out of a terrier!

I was down that way so just had to visit Amba. She is looking well and keeping everybody on their toes
She initially ragged the lead / harness but quickly settled, only to try again a few minutes later. She was just so excited, after that though she was a joy to walk and we had a lovely walk along a footpath and she enjoyed the smells of the countryside. I just love this girl and hope she finds that special home soon.
