Why we ask you to complete it fullyI can't tell you how much of our time goes into answering casual telephone calls and emails about dogs ... time sadly we just don't have. We aren't paid members of a public service, just a few volunteers trying our hardest to help homeless dogs find new forever homes. Unfortunately, we do not have time to chat through the ins and outs of every dog to cold callers that is why the forum exists.
We are an internet based service run by a willing few who continue to make huge sacrifices in their personal lives. If you don't have internet skills please try to enlist the help of a neighbour, relative or child.
We ask the following of our potential dog adoptees; please complete our homing questionnaire; both pages else we will bounce it back . Answer all questions else we will bounce it back . Then SAVE it as a "word.doc" or it will arrive blank and you will lose your hardwork and have to sit and complete it again or it will arrive unopenable and we will have no choice, but to bounce it back to you. If you have trouble then cut it and paste it into an email
Perhaps you should treat it like a job application. If you are wasting your time trying to talk to the employer and telling the receptionist all about your troubles you are having getting a job ... whilst others have their application form in, 'which one gets the job (dog)? If you complete the questionnaire with one word answers and others tell us their full dog history, the various working hours with travel times, how long the dog will be left, where it will sleep and exactly when they are ready to home a dog - which one do you think will get the job (dog)?
PS Please do not stake claim to dogs on their individual threads UNLESS you have completed our questionnaire and subsequentially had a discussion with Dee and been home checked. The reasons for this are explained on the following thread: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/about1023.html.
Apologies, for sounding very heavy, but our people resources are currently stretched to the limit. We appreciate your understanding.
Thank you.
