These show a glimpse of her character...oh what a wonderful character. Staffie loving charm

Oh Violet (Nina) she had her spay today and is being treated for an left ear infection. She was very wobbly afterwards as she made her way into her new kennels.

The girls at the kennels were slightly concerned about Violet (Nina) first thing this morning but she did perk up. She is feeling a little sorry for herself and I can't blame her
I do hope that her ear infections clears soon and given time, she will get over her spay, then I can get to know her properly.
First thing that came to mind was 'Pepsi' a past staffie friend and then that she must be Ky's sister.

Nina is determined to make life more difficult for herself - she is now on her third buster collar
She is masssively frustrated and does not want to stay quiet so she can heal At least with each day that goes by, she is on the mend and I keep trying to explain that to her - but she thinks she is ready to go go go now

Not the best of photos below but you get the gist that Violet (Nina) wasn't moaping in her kennel this afternoon and NO she has had it with that collar thing!!!!!!! She has healed well and we might have to just trust her from now on in.

Poor Violet (Nina) was in a bad way yesterday. It seems she had taken exception to her bed and possibly spent the night on the concrete floor. She was hobbling, subdued and feeling generally very sorry for herself.
She had a new and warmer bed made up and this morning she was so much brighter. She trotted out to say hello and then trotted back to her bed, almost saying to me ' look, this is how I sit in it and if I twiddle about a bit, this is how I look lying down with a chew'
She was almost smiling

Violet (Nina) seems to be doing very well now. She had a trip to the vets today to have her stitches removed and ear checked. She was on great form and hopped into the car beautifully
She was well behaved throughout her check up and had her second vax as well. She is having some more treatment for her ear but hopefully, if she stops scratching at it, things will improve. It is certainly better.
She is a lovely character. At some point she has had some training. When you can get (and keep ) her attention long enough she knows a lot of the basic commands. She is incredibly playful, almost like a dog half her age. Her lead walking is not fantastic as she is just so busy busy busy I really don't think it will take long to persuade her to walk nicely, though, as she is so very eager to please

I had a great time with Violet (Nina) today. She's the first staffie I've ever walked and I think she's fantastic! After the first initial burst of energy when we left the kennels, she settled down very nicely. She listens to everything you say to her and acknowledges you by either pricking her ears up or looking round at you and smiling. She sits for treats and takes them very gently. She'd be an ideal jogging partner for someone - I was worn out after about 10 minutes of jogging with her but Violet (Nina) was still raring to go. I needed a rest, so I sat on a log and Violet (Nina) sat on my knee and gave me loads of sloppy kisses. She's very affectionate and lovely to cuddle. When we got back to the kennels, I had to get something out of my car and when I opened the car door, she jumped in and made herself at home on the back seat - so I ate my lunch in the car and shared my bacon butty with her. Violet (Nina) then washed my mum's face, including her glasses! I love her and hated leaving her behind. Can't wait to do it again next week - unless somebody finds her before then........

Violet (Nina) was my first walk today and all was well until I noticed her limping - she had cut her foot. Probably from jumping up in her kennel. Apparently she has been very busy jumping up and down. Hope she settles soon. I think the walk helped a bit because she seemed ok after I left. I couldn't match the girl I had read about with such a lively one but on the walk she was calm and no problem at all - just the usual staffie determination to get there soon

Walked with Violet (Nina) on the 15th Oct...she was the first one out as Sue and I wanted to apply some ear drops into her 'red' ear. She then led me forth..

Such a lovely dog. We think an only Pet is her best scenario she is SUCH a people dog

Violet (Nina) was my very last walk of the day and it was getting late so we had a shorter walk today. Still she had a lovely time and was so pleased to be out and about. She gets very frustrated in kennels but cheers up as soon as she is out. Pleasant walk all round.

Didn't manage to walk Violet (Nina) this time but she was looking and waiting the whole time - she is in the end kennel so she sees everyone go in and out
Next time Violet (Nina) sweetie.

Took Violet (Nina) out for an extra long walk - after the initial 30 seconds she walked really well and took to the figure of 8 like a pro!

Violet found her family today and her 'pet' name. She settled so much in Jenny and David's company..but was a little worried when this lovely friendly man declared he was an ex copper! But couldn't hide her delight when she heard now 'meat manufacturer'! Raw bones being on her regular diet to build her up again!

I will be so pleased that this little girl won't be stressed and waiting when I visit the kennels this week. She had her end kennel so I saw her every time I brought a dog in or out. Now she is tucked up where she should be, in a loving home.
