bless her, will look forward to following her story into her forever home. Cant wait for you walkers to take her out of her shell and show her off in all her JRT glory.
we all know about the rap staffies have but JRTs also have this strange reputation that those who know and love JRTs find perplexing.
I take great delight in people cuddling and stroking my girls and asking what they are .. .telling them they are JRTs ... having a shocked expression saying... but they are so well behaved (yeah right! when Ive got treats)....
but seriously... i soooo wish people would stop giving breeds and dogs labels and give them the chance to be the little individuals they are.
JRT are such fab little dogs so much character and so much courage. They are so friendly and chatty to doggies, sometimes they dont end up being the best of friends but thats OK - its good to have a doggie that wants to at least try, even if it doesnt work out all the time.
Dont ever mistake the typical JRT interchange with another dog for being non- dog friendly.... they just like to make their opinion known..

I collected Tegan today and she travelled with me, Woody and Errol back to Farnham kennels. She certainly had a lot to say
She is far more beautiful than the photograph suggests. I ran out of time to take any better ones but hope to be able to do so tomorrow. She is full of life and not afraid of any dog going
Quite the little terrier - can't wait to get to know her better

Could have kicked myself today - all ready to take photos only to discover the battery was flat
However, Tegan got a lot of attention from Sam and me today. I think she is definitely a play monster - when I changed her collar she pounced all over the old and threw it around. We dug out a squeaky tennis ball for her.
Sam took her out for a lovley long walk and said she was very good. She is very much the little terrier, spotting the squirrels and giving chase However, when Sam asked her to move on she did. She was out on the extending lead today.
Hopefully pictures tomorrow

Sensible little girlie... you can't be too careful with 'dead' collars...

Oh what a busy walk we had today So many smells to investigate, squirrels to be had, scents to be followed
She was so busy it was quite difficult to get a photo in focus - but I think these begin to show how lovely she is -

If she doesn't go in a bat of a white eyelash the world is mad! A very beautiful JRT and it sounds like she has character!!

Tegan really is soooo cute And those eyelashes She's a little live wire, bursting with energy and she couldn't wait to get out and investigate. She even managed to chase after a ball at the same time as looking around for squirrels etc. It was so hard to take decent photos as she doesn't stop for long enough. I've got loads of pictures of just trees where I wasn't quick enough. She even wees on the go! Having said that she's a bundle of energy, she isn't difficult to manage and came back after I called her - when she'd finished what she was doing! She's a brilliant JRT and I'm sure she'll be snapped up in a jiffy. Tegan is definitely behind the tree in the first photo!

Tegan is very cute and has a cheeky look about her especially with one ear up and the other down! You can't see in the photos but she has little brown spots on her back under the long hair. We walked her with Woody today and she couldn't wait to say hi to him, which she did very nicely and then she was off on a mission! We had a very busy walk again, hardly pausing for breath. She did find time to check on Woody every now and then, but there was too much to see and do to spend more than a few seconds with him. We met some labradors when we got back to the kennels and she was fine with them too.

So pleased we can dispense with the 'doesn't like other dogs' label. My guess is that she can be a bit 'gobby' and this has been misread as aggressive

Tegan had another lovely long walk with Woody yesterday, and again was very pleased to see him. I walked her on an ordinary lead yesterday, rather than an extender and I felt like I was walking one of those floor polishers - the ones that just glide over the surface, in big semi circular sweeps from side to side
Today it was just the two of us and a lot of rain I think she missed Woody but found plenty to keep her busy. We walked along the road for a short way and she gave the passing traffic more than a little attention - this is something we will have to do more often and work on Having said that, although she was excitable, she was still very easy to handle.
She saved the best bit for last today, though When we got back, I got a big towel out to dry her off and when I wrapped her in it, she snuggled right into my arms - it was wonderful, a real little snuggle bunny

Tegan had a lovely walk with WestBrom1 this morning and then popped into the car with me to go visiting
We met a lovely family, complete with 2 cats, a rabbit and a guinea pig. The first cat, she barked and barked at then he gave her a swipe and she became a little more respectful
She would not leave the rabbit alone - round and round the hutch, under it, over it, every which way. The rabbit and guinea pig were not fazed by all her attention. They are going to be relocated to the front garden She got so over excited that she made herself sick. However, it was not held against her and....................................
Tegan has found a wonderful family to call her own
