Tammy Staffie 1-2 yrs Winchester

Tammy was a little girl I said we would help, played for time and opps there she is spayed today and coming at the weekend.

Tammy was found stray with a bad untreated ear. She has been treated with antibiotics and healed nicely no further treatment so bless her.. she will soon be able to get on with her life.  She is great with people and overall good with dogs. Playful so just needs supervision. Coming on the weekend.

Tammy's night out

The very beautiful Tammy came to us in the hope that we could foster her.... Sad sadly Stevie did not like the idea of a little sister...... This is Tammy's night away from kennels....

I liked cuddles....

I enjoyed some walks and was very good on a lead....

It was lovely for me to meet Rebekah (and her brother Oliver)....

I liked to play with balls.... (even at 1 o'clock in the morning!!)

.....and did a spot of exploring....

After a few initial accidents.... Confused I learned that if I went to the back door, I could go to the toilet in the garden.....
even at 3 o'clock in the morning!!!.... Rolling Eyes

I am back in kennels now but I really would like a home of my own very soon...... Lots of Love Tammy XXXXX

(From Julie....It was with a very heavy heart that I handed Tammy back today..... she is an adorable, friendly little girl who has a lot of love and enjoyment to give to a deserving home.....Good Luck little one.... JX)

Oh Julie, so sorry it didn't work out for you as I know you were all so excited at the prospect of a new addition and a new friend for Stevie.  I hope given time that you will try again with another girlie and it will be more successful.

Best wishes
Sharon

Met Tammy for the first time today and she is really quite small.  A cute cuddly girl.  Although she is not keen on  other dogs near her in the kennels, with care she walked nicely with Buster today. Hopefully she will get some more social walks. Was very quiet and well behaved at the cafe. She does give lovely staffy licks but is not overly bouncy. She bustles along with her little legs and reminds me of Roxy and Rheanna in that way.

Tammy

Met Tammy for the 1st time today, sat while I put the halti on her then tore at it like mad, so change of plan and went for the harness.
Very settled on the walk, doesn't pull too much, certainly got that little Staffie bum wiggle!
Although it was warm/hot she doesn't drink very much so I didn't take her too far, once back at the kennels she heard Emmas voice from outside and couldn't wait to get back in!

Tammy, the sweetest girl. Spent some time with Tammy today and got a few pictures which in no way capture her beauty, but begin to introduce it.  She met a Rotti off the lead and was very well behaved. Keen on her walks and not too attentive to call, but given a little time she begins to understand we're not moving forwards and comes racing over to 'wash your face with love'. Well time out on walks is very precious!

JM:     Took Tammy out for a walk today. What a lovely bustling little dog. She was so interested in everything around her and had a bit of a rummage in the hedges as we walked along. Didn't seem too interested in drinking despite the heat. Wow...what a sweetie

JM is Tammy's soul mate whilst she enjoys her brief stay at our kennels (Home just around the corner we hope)

Apologies for the delay, but it's been a busy weekend. We took a few more pics of Tammy on Friday too.  Mum was in charge of her walk and thought she was such a sweet pup - she just couldn't resist a few cuddles along the way.  Here she is ...

Tammy smiling for the camera

Needless to say, I couldn't resist a cuddle either!

Gosh no Lynne am just a fan. Tammy already has her soul mate...what lovely photos!

Mum and I enjoyed walking the dogs and mum was a little sad to see so many lovely, lovely dogs sitting out their time in kennels waiting for their forever homes. Tammy is a joy and still waiting for that forever home to make itself known ... where are you  Question Crying or Very sad

Tammy is on the move tomorrow to our new kennels away from the main kennel block.

She will be able to see lots of people and gain more skills with other dogs. The kennels are far more spacious than the current kennel she is in and I think she will love it. Smile

Tammy found her family today

She has explored the house, garden, been for 2 walks and started an orienteering course to get to the budgie whose cage is suspended from the ceiling glasses11
Sharonr - Admin

Fantastic news - looking forward to Tammy & tweetie pie updates!
xxlynne

Tammy comes back tomorrow apparently due to over excitement with the budgie and a member of the family coming out with a rash on their arms.

Apparently no chance of moving the budgie to another room or the family member taking piriton for a while to allow their body to adjust.

Tammy

I got back to the kennels with Tia just as Tammy was being brought back, Emma asked if I'd take her out which I gladly did.
She was on a collar and lead, so once around the corner I slipped a harness on her to give her a bit more freedom. She is very interested in everything around her, doesn't pull at all, and even if she did I don't think you'd notice as she is so tiny. She still doesn't seem interested in drinking anything much though.
We had a good long walk today in the pouring rain, she didn't mind it all, a very affectionate little dog who will be a real joy for her forever home when it comes along I'm sure.
EmmaSemple

The people who adopted Tammy had to return her due to her strong prey drive with the resident budgie and also because the lady of the household came out in an allergic rash to her.

The family listed many good qualities about her...cleanliness in the home, affectionate and loving and adores her walks.

They were sad to see her go but even after they moved the bird out of sight she was still so insistant to get to it and when it was moved onto its daily spot on the balcony it was just too much for her and she made a lunge at it.

It may seem silly to some, but I do understand where she is coming from as Tammy is a typical strong willed Staffie and once she gets an idea in her head it is hard to convince her otherwise!

Tammy would be best suited to a home as an only pet where she will enjoy 100% of attention. Smile

Hi Lynne,

Tammy is coming on nicely, she's great on the extendable lead now, eating like a horse, destroyed 2 indestructable balls, had a bath which she loved, loves her bed ,and sleeps well, no noises during the night, barks at door callers, brilliant in my van, not a lot more to say, just that she's a lovely dog and we are so pleased with her. i will post some pics just as soon as i find out whats up with the forum.
She does have a red lump on the inner of her privates, which will be checked out this week, when she has her booster. hope alls well with simone,

all the best   paul
xxlynne

hello lynne

tammy is fine, her lump is the same, no worse, and not causing her any stress, so, will just monitor it for a while.
I will take some pics and send, when it stops raining.
I have a new record, my 2 previous staffies could not burst a full size basketball, just too big and hard to bite, tam blew it to bits in 10 seconds, you have to smile.

regards  paul

Always find it fascinating that the forever home families get the best photos - wonder why that is!  Very Happy  Wink

When we collected Tammy, it was obvious she had a strong will, but with 2 weeks of careful attention, and encouragement, she now walks off the lead, when we out on our own,  yes, she is very nosey, but with some treats in our pockets, a whistle and she is soon walking to heel again.
Staffies are such loyal dogs, and with patience and care, they very rarely let you down.
Tammy has settled in so well, better than we could have dreamed of, her coat shines, i no longer need a mirror for my hair, she was a little on the thin side, which is perfectly understandable with the stress of continual rejection, but, now her muscle is building, she loves jumping and chasing, and is also making a very useful co-driver at work.
Its map reading for her next task. Laughing

We are all so pleased Tammy has found her forever home... it wasn't to be with us, but she showed us her character and loving nature - we wish you all well and look forward to more updates and photos! Julie and family XX  Very Happy

Its getting cold, so i,m allowed to lay in the sun, and move as the sun rotates, ending up with my nose against the radiator, for that extra bit of heat, glad i'm a staffy, not a husky.

OH yes, Tammy just loves being in my van, she is a big girl so can see nicely out of the windows, and just loves it  when we have the heater on, strange how staffies are portrayed as such big macho dogs, they are the biggest cuddly softies really, in the right hands of course.
