Stevie's padsHi, has anyone any suggestions for Stevie's paw pads.... they are very dry and prone to grazing and a little bleeding. I'm quite happy to sit and rub something in them (and I'm sure Stevie will enjoy it too LOL!) but just wondering whether to use baby lotion, got some nice human dry feet cream aswell.... is this OK or is there some canine alternative?? Many thanks, Julie XX

I got this wax stuff for my last dog, Dee. I got it as it was supposed to help with slipping etc (her old legs didn't go well with our laminate floor!) and i am sure it said it would protect their paws against snow and ice etc-might be worth a go?
I may still have it, i will have a look x

I am a bit fan of Tea Tree Cream. We have dogs with really sore pads - especially the Spaniels come to use. I put Tea Tree Cream on plus you can buy "Paw Wax" - Shaws make it - Pets at Home sell it and is a "protection" for the pads. If they are really bad your vet can prescribe something stronger and you may have to bandage and put boots on to let the cream soak into the pads.

Tea Tree is good as they hate the taste too...and with Stevie's appetite that will be a bonus.

I have found the wax if you want it? It says " helps prevent damage from gravel, asphalt, ice, snow, roads treated with salt and all hard surfaces"
If you want it i can post it to you or give it to you next week??

Thank you Emma - Stevie has learned to leave the frogs alone and eat his doggie food - although we have been treated to the bowl trick on a couple of occasions!! His waistline is looking a lot better then his Dad's...!!
Thank you Tina - Bring it to the bootie, but make sure you don't put it near the tomato sauce...... Cheers!! JX
