Simone Staffie 2 yrs Nuneaton Cov.

Simone was found stray in season. That is a death sentence as most rescues wont take a bitch in season as they have to hold for at least a month or two and there is the uncertainity whether they are pregnant. We try to save dogs who through no fault of their own have been found stray in this embarrassed state.

Simone was found a  few days after Poncho and Lexi..she could be their mum as the pound is saying its so strange to have a clutter of black staffie types all found within days.

Simone is going in with Alison in Gatwick to be cared for until we spay her. Westie Lyn's mission was to take 3 in to save 3.

Simone arrived today. She is beautiful. Her fur is in good condition and probably ideal weight. Her eyes are very red but then her journey has been eventful the last few weeks.  She met Tammy when she first came out the van and was grumpy with her but then she doesn't know what side of Christmas it is! Found stray with a male dog. She was microchipped but owners couldn't /wouldn't pay release fee (£140) She disappeared when she came in season. She had a short walk through the woods, got a lovely reception from the kennel staff, a soft bed and 'tea'.

fell in love with Simone today.  She is 'the Staffordshire' as the breed perfectionist would say.  Can't get over what wonderful condition she is in despite her season. SUCH a people dog.  Here she is; you only have to catch her eye and she is running back for affection and licks.

These 2 pictures although not totally clear as the light was poor, reflect her typical stance -she likes to stand and look.

Our first walk of the day was Simone & Mindy.  I hadn't met Simone before and I have to say that she is truly in the most beautiful of conditions.  A lovely sweet girl with a black coat/white blaze that was positively gleaming.  She is such a sweet heart.  I think if Cathy had to choose today, then Simone was the one for her - she stole her heart.  Nicely behaved on her walk and pleasure to spend time with ... here she is ...

Mum and I picked up Simone today from the Gatwick kennels for her transfer to Croydon.  Mum had the pleasure of a cuddle and snuggle with Simone on the back seat.  Simone travels very nicely in the car and was a pleasure to have on board.  Safely delivered we decided to take her for a walk down the lanes before she unpacked her bag, slipped her toothbrush in her glass and popped her slippers on. Simone is such an easy going dog to have around.

Simone the heart stealer was second vax'd today

Simone wasn't well yesterday probably she hadn't got over her kennel cough before her vax. My fault I just wanted her to be covered and Tim the vet was there. Anyway brighter by the evening. She is healthy and Emma will reassess her today.

Spent the day with Simone..first to the vets re her KCough -to continue on antibiotics.  She then had a wonderful walk which she was 'well up' for and didn't falter. Then a rest, another walk and on to collect Nina and off to her new kennels.

Crying or Very sad Poor Simone, still sounds like she is on 80 a day  Crying or Very sad She is still not totally settled yet. Hopefully the antibiotics will work their magic soon and she can get out and about in the paddock.

She is a sweetheart and taking it all in her stride.

Any news on Simone ?

She is doing OK. She is still not totally over her cough but nowhere near as mucusy as she was. She is still very vocal and makes sure she isn't missed Rolling Eyes

Gave Simone a long walk on Sunday. She was "biting at the bit" for a walk and her energy levels were very high so I tried to walk her socks off..she actually soon settled. She coughed a little at the front of the walk but then settled and I didn't hear her cough again. Here a few snaps of her.
