Ruby Tricolour Staffie 01.07 Godalming SurreyRuby was found stray ... chipped. The story on tracing her owners was the usual; 'she was given away a year ago, to 'people' - they don't know who. Durrr, we can't remember if we neutered her doh! Nothing new.
Ruby is coming to us soon.

Well, how anyone can part with this dog is a mystery to me.
Fairly quiet, sociable with other dogs, fantastically beautiful and such an affectionate girl. How has she bounced from home to home, becoming unwanted...oh yes, I forgot...she is a Staffie and easily disposable. 
Things are on the up now though because she has met handsome Marli. She plays hard this girl does, but so does Marli! All we saw was a whirling mass of Staffie happiness as they sped round the paddock at top speed. That was this morning when they first went out. The best thing was when afternoon exercise came along and Marli went bounding over to her run and stood there expectant, hardly moving and quivering with excitement. Then when Ruby came out they bounded out into the paddock and did their laps of honour together. 
Then both of them played so much that they forgot to have a poo and came back in and pooed in their run giving us more work to do.  Ah well...

Cast your eyes while you can..Ruby I'm sure is going to go in a blink!
She was spayed this morning. Travelled in the car beautifully apart from falling into a chorus with Harvie..some well known staffie song which was rather catchy.
Ruby is like a petite Boxer..and has what I call a "cotton velvet" coat. She has a really sweet over shot bottom jaw. We checked her microchip details and found her to be born 5th January 07

Ruby and I went to meet Julie today. She had a lovely walk and talk and made herself comfortable. She didn't quite show me the door because we had become rather attached but it was suggested that she thanks me greatly BUT she would like to stay and meet Gary so she can try and persuade him what it would be like to own the most wonderful Staffie bitch in the world.

Wonderful glowing report in this am from Julie. A "Ruby is a Ruby" report.
Good being left; Good with dogs; Good to command; Good with people. A bit pully on the lead but then she is a young eager dog but will respond to training; a little ear irritation gives Julie the excuse to introduce her to her vet  today..so happy for Julie and Gary and especially for Ruby
