Tim our vet came to vax Mutley this morning. I had heard from the vet nurse they'd all fallen for him big time but I had no idea how bad it was until I met Tim. Mentioned in the first sentence of meeting; keeness in the eye; devotion in the voice and deflation on hearing he was reserved probably going tomorrow. Persistence as topic of conversation to the point I had to say "Tim your not thinking of having him as your dog!" 'He is so lovely but no, happy if he has a good home. Where is he going..' "Norwich" 'Ahh shame won't be one of my regular customers then!'

we all arrived home safely, no upset tummies on the journey. Mutley (Kit) jumped onto the back seat a couple of times but soon settled down with Bailey. ate all the dog food when we got in the garden but seemed to understand leave so Bailey could eat as well, they have chased each other round the garden for 20 minutes and are now both asleep, will put pictures up on the biggsd site as not sure about this one. Thank you all, he is lovely.

An update from Anne ...
"Happy Gotcha Day"! Bailey has a brother Mutley (was Kit).
Safe journey back from Surrey, Mutley then ate all Baileys tea and his and Baileys 2nd bowl hope he's not sick later, played for a while, but both tired now. Bailey a little bemused by Mutley jumping backwards and forwards over the car seat - its never occured to him, something else for the shopping list tomorrow, so far thats another crate, car guard, new lead and collar, name tag, another bed, more bowls and treats, ouch !

Yes. His housetraining needs work. I don't think he has ever been taught not to.
This should come along quite rapidly though. He started to show improvements at the kennels within a day of being with us.

Yes, Mutley has to learn some house rules and manners, but he is only a baby so has plenty of time, dry carpet this morning, however did go outside and pee for england about 4am. took him to a bbq yesterday afternoon about 30 friends there he was fantastic, played nicely with the other dogs and didn't beg for food, had to keep an eye on my so called friends as they kept trying to steal him away. he had an argument with Bailey this morning but Bailey did step on his stitches, friends again now

Mutley is now using a crate happily and was clean and dry this morning, he is still gobbling his food down, but will sit and wait rather than grabbing out of my hand so he is improving in leaps and bounds. Vet checked out his wounds and said he is healing well, thought he was a lovely natured pup. he is so affectionate We can't understand him being a stray, He is such a quick learner already responding to our whistle in fact quicker than Bailey.

just got back from camping for the weekend with the dogs. took Mutley to the beach, quess he has never seen the sea before, he had a lovely time playing on the sand, not sure about the water but followed me in with Bailey and Rosie
he is just so accepting of everything, nothing seems to faze him at all. he will now wait for his food and responds to the whistle quicker than Bailey.
