Missy DOB Mid Aug 07 Redhill

Missy is Nectar and Bruce's sister.  She is gentle and kind and a great mixer with dogs.  She is developing new skills in her foster place and is a winner and a whow! Fully vax'd Fostered in Kingston
Dee

Aw Missy found a really wonderful home. She is now part of a big family consisting of mum, dad 3 wonderful children a gorgeous 13 yr old staff and a cute as pie 5 yr shitzu.

Little bit hesistant at first but once Neil got out the treats she soon settled!!

Children were so beautifully behaved with her and did not rush her in any way. Perfect for her.

Such a warm and caring family she will fit right in snug as a bug.

Will post pictures as soon as they are done  :>)

Missy arrived into Foster with us last night.  She is a very beautiful intelligent little girl.  I am going to give her a few days to settle in and then write up on how she is.
I have attached some pictures of her.

You big dog people always call your Mastiff; Rottie and Newfoundlanders 'little'.  Your next foster Ange will be a Jackerdale!  then we'll hear you calling it a big dog..

She is wooooonderful!!!!

Missy Update

Some of the pics are not very good, but l just wanted to show that she is perfect when meeting other dogs.

Missy in now in Foster care with us in Wokingham.  She has been with us for 5 days, and is settling in nicely.
She is such a pretty little girl, and has already won my heart.

This girl is absolutely wonderful to take for a walk.  It is such a pleasure to walk with her that on Sunday l took a flask as l knew it would be a very long walk.  She will walk no more than a few yards away, as she likes to make sure you are always insight.  She will come back immediately when called, and will sit and wait intently for a treat.

She is happy to meet other dogs, and will approach gently and let them sniff her.  She will chase sticks, and bound around, but she seems to be more interested in humans, and will come and sit beside's you when the other dogs chase each other, and she doesn’t like to be part of the rough & tumble.  She likes to walk in a pack and likes being around other dogs, but definitely prefers the company of humans.  Although l think this could change when she develops some more confidence, and she has started to show signs of playing with my dogs when he takes her ball, and she has to chase him to get it back.

This girl loves her food a little too much.  I don’t think that she could possibly taste it, and she gobbles it down way too quick.  She is fine around humans, but is over protective about food and treats around other dogs.  She will finish her food in seconds, and then try her best to eat my dogs dinner who seems oblivious to the situation and takes his time.  We have been working on this with her, and have already seen a marked improvement.  I hope she will eventually start taking her time when she gets into the routine.  Last night we had a TV dinner in the lounge, and she just snoozed in her bed besides us, which is amazing as she stole my husbands chicken sandwich right out of his lap on the first day she arrived..ha..ha..

As mentioned she adores people, and will jump up in excitement, but again she is improving all the time, and has started to realise that it doesn’t get her any attention.  She used to live with children, and she was very good with my friends 3 year old little boy on Sunday, but her endless search for food makes her sniff and lick hands and faces of little people so she needs some work on her manners.

Missy is very affectionate, and has a constant waggy tail.  She loves it when you talk to her, and likes her tummy tickled.
It is impossible not to fall for this pretty little girl.  You are probably wondering why l say "little" (especially Lynne..ha..ha) but compared to other Rotties l saw this weekend, she really does seem little.

Missy Relaxing

Hello,

Missy has really settled in and is finally relaxed.  She now sleeps on her back with her legs in the air.....  its very funny.  I have attached 2 pictures of her sleeping.

Missy has improved so much.  She hardly ever jumps up, and is so much better at eating.  She is truly a wonderful little girl.

Missy is learning to share

Missy is coming on leaps and bounds!!
She was playing tug with my dog this weekend (pic attached) and even played chase, so she is now starting to enjoy the company of dogs much more.  She still prefers humans, but is coming around to the idea that it is fun to play.

She loves attention so much that she even wags her tail if she hears your voice.  She is very cute.

MISSY HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME

Wonderful News!

Missy has found her forever home with a fantastic Family - Steve, Robert & Charlotte.
Missy has been so lucky to find such a great home with a family who like walks, camping, going to the beach & of course give her the attention and cuddles that she loves.
Missy is such a great little girl, and l couldnt be happier for her.
Here is a update from her new owner Steve.

Missy seems to have settled in fine (although it did take all of about
5 minuets) , she is the most delightful dog to have and be around her
temperament towards people and other dogs is unsurpassed she has been
to the pub next door and met JJ the Sheppard and the pair of them fell
asleep in front of the fire with the customers coming and going all the
time.

She responds to voice commands very well and learns very quickly she
will now walk to heel without pulling she will sit, lay down and gives
her paw. when we are out for a walk she will come when called wait when
told and walk to heel without her lead. She has been playing with lots
of dogs over the common in the mornings, one big old boxer has taken
quite a shine to her and a little whippet runs rings around her, when
the play gets a bit to boisterous  I call her and she will come
immediately and sit by my side and wait for her treat.

I am not too sure if she has been walked on the roads very much because
she is a little bit scared of large trucks and busses when they pass
her but she is getting better because now when one goes past she get a
"good girl" and a little treat.

At night she just sleeps downstairs I gave her the option of coming
into my room by leaving the door open but I think the sofa is more comfy than the floor !

Her cut is healing nicely and she has not touched it, she comes and
goes into the garden now, I think in the past she has been locked out
and was a bit hesitant to go out at first incase she could not come
back in, but I think we have bonded well and there is a lot of trust on
both sides, she has not jumped up on the sides in the kitchen and has
not touched a thing she should not have. we tend to eat in the lounge
more than at the kitchen table and there is no hint of begging for
anything.

I will send some photos (when I can find the lead for the camera) of
her in her pretty new Fuchsia pink collar.

Steve
