Jimmy Patterdalex Collie 4yrsJimmy was sadly given peace today. He was an overtly friendly dog who in sooo many areas displayed gentleness, love and fun. Here is Jimmy on the 'mouse trail'...
Below is Jimmy's thread
Jimmy is 4 yrs old and had a caring disciplined home where he knows the rules and falls in with them. He is no problem with visitors whatever age; can be left and generally the vib of a busy little fella who would get up to mischief given the chance. He is a hang around kind of home bird..not trying to get away. He loves his walks but reactive to animals whatever description. He loves the car and his soft toys. Jimmy isn’t getting the attention he deserves and with him not being keen on other dogs… his current owner is hoping he can find a home where he can have more going on in his domaine

Jimmy has arrived in foster today. He is a big Patterdale probably 16.5" to the shoulder with a silky wavey black coat and white blaze on his chest. He had a wonderful family adopted him 5 weeks ago. Jimmy was very accepting of the wife and child but at times very concerned about the husband eg. circling him & snarling. He also could guard his food which was something they were dealing with.
Jimmy has been here 3 hours so far..a little bewildered separated upstairs ..but enjoyed a long walk and whilst concerned when dogs approached more wanted to avoid them when up close. He enjoyed a meal handfed naturediet to develop our bonding & avoid the food bowl thing so early on. Will assess him further in the next few days. Pictures tomorrow

Jimmy doing very well ..toleratres being left as a separated dog; very welcoming and receptive to my company and walks. Happy to pass dogs by if they ignore but concerned if they come directly at him.
Showing 'working traits' very scent orientated and tuned into 'small furry scents'
After being in the garden tonight met lorenzo on the doorstep and got immediately very excited- tail wagging very fast; barking; showing teeth; and leaping up; gave him 3 attempts and each time behaviour immediate..but faded as soon as passed him by and on the stairs. It was similar to his reaction to a dog coming too fast towards him...fear based..mainly warning but wouldn't like to witness it with him off the lead. Would he be tamer ..i.e. was this lease behaviour? Not in his previous home..but reaction wasn't so immediate..but was going at the man through glass doors. Oh dear quite concerned with this

Oh Jimmy sadly we had to let you fly free...........you were accomplished in sooo many areas of your life but you developed a fear of men which made you feel unsafe and move into attack mode.
You were loved and if we could of helped you through this we would but Lorenzo was scared of you and you of him. As indeed was Mark who tried so hard to help you through this but you were getting worse and oh so much more frightened.
