Jake Jack Russell 5 yrs Braintree Essex

Jake is a 5 yr old Jack Russell (intermediate length legs) He is accomplished and always been loved. He was had to cope with changes in his pack and accept a new man as leader. Then suddenly a baby appeared and the couple felt naturally protective and precious to the baby.  Jake became subsidiary as opposed to the centre of his mum’s life, and did protest.  His family felt he needs a family with more time for him. Since arriving in our kennels he has won over the kennel staffs heart. He has shown himself to be good with dogs and very cuddly! He is neutered, vax’d  and up-to-date. Jake is looking for a new family where he can be central again but also know his boundaries. Handled with respect; communicated clearly with and understanding his routine. Jake will prove to be a star, as he is doing with us.

Oh Jake ...Jake went off to be fostered in with Boomer on the 3rd May.  Jake was a little reserved with Boomer but has gradually accepted his lovely energy and is thawing to the idea he has a great mate! All is well and with each day he settles more and is 'flowing' ...so adoption papers are in the post!!!! Laughing

Jake is settling in very well, loving to sun bath..chat to the dog next door and beginning to identify with Boomer who has so wanted another dog in his life.  Typical aloof terrier ... in his own time!  thanks to Kim and Christopher...especially Boomer!

Aw what a wonderful family Jake has.

He doing well in his terrier fashion and continuing to build trust with his family. Starting to learn that not all people want to cause him pain. Definitely keeping them busy with his terrier antics or so they say but just have a look at these pictures. Does he look like a little Scamp? :

Oh yes i think so!!! LOL

Such an innocent look and what a gorgeous boy  wav

Some more pictures from Jake, along with this from his new family:

Jake continuing to do very well. As you can see from pictures making himself useful whenever he can. Spent so many hours moving logs from pile to check for mice he exhausted himself.

Has proved very competent swimmer and has even helped Kim improve her abilities in the water. Here is what Kim said: “he got me all wet today!

we went to the lake and Jake went swimming. All ok until he saw the buoys in the middle, so he jumped in and went in hot pursuit. no thought for the fact they were 250 yards away or more. he pulled the lead out of my hand as i had it on locked and I lost it. Jake followed by the lead we heading towards the middle of the lake, so I had to jump in and go after him. I was up to the top of the pockets on my jeans when i got him. so annoyed I spoilt his fun. he went in the reeds, in the bushes, after the ducks etc etc.. he was all fired up and soaked. he is really fit and in hard condition now. that fat lazy thing has turned into a pocket rocket! he is in the garden all day and won't come in at night so we have to chase him round the garden”

Hurt himself whilst out running the other day and came back to Kim on 3 legs and allowed her to massage him all over until he felt better. Building trust all the time.

Such a wonderful home and lifestyle for this gorgeous boy.
