Jack Cocker Spanielx 9 yrs

Jack what a wonderful dog ... who just wanted to be loved and give all that love your heart poured out with. Karen and Alan offered you their hearts in the same way Lucy;  then Dee and John did.  Sadly not knowing how to share you harmed and we had to let you go -so you will nolonger feel the need to compete..you have the ones you loved thoughts with you forever.

His thread is below

Jack

Jack is 9 years and has been with his family since a puppy. He looks like a cocker but is bigger.  He has been an only pet but mixes well with dogs outside but can get excited if still held ion his lead.  His recall is a bit selective as he loves to socialise and do his own thing.

He currently lives in a secure property but last property was not escaping from 4 ' boundaries. Excited when people come but settles. Sleeps in the bedroom in his bed. He is living with young children but due to allergies and he isn't very happy milling around with toddlers plus he is looking for a new family. Can be left but can occassionally howl initially as protest and later after 2 hour periods. Neutered and vax'd.  He needs regular grooming and are told in good health.

Jack goes into foster with the view to homing tomorrow
Dee

Jack going into foster tomorrow with Lucy and Jill.

Keep your fingers crossed xxxx
Dee

Sadly Jill (Lucy's dog) not happy with another dog there a lot to do with his size and him wanting to play too much!! A very big thank you to Lucy for giving Jack a try with Jill xxx

Jack has come into foster with us today.

So far so good. Winston and Jack have had a couple of run ins but nothing too serious.

Missy very keen to have a new friend she is a little too much for him at the moment but am confident that they will learn how to play together cos they are both very keen. LOL

Such a happy little guy, pleased to meet every one people, dogs, cyclists LOL
Dee

Well it appears Jack doesn't like to share with dogs inside the house!!

So he is currently mainly in the lounge and sharing garden. He loves to meet the others in the garden and loves going on his walks with them but i think asking him to share inside area just too much too ask of him.

He is so very loving and such a cutie.

his little tail just does not stop wagging.

He is a little bit too food focused. Bless.

Has pretty much stopped his grumbling around food although this much easier with him not having access to kitchen. Having said that he was very easy to control with it.

Such a super little chap. Love him   Very Happy

Advert  Jack

Jack is a Cocker Spaniel crossed with? Beagle? He is bigger than a Cocker.  He has quite a personality who hasn't coped with living with very young children as he began little grumbles..  Jack is however drawn to children so obviously liked them but not too much interference!  Jack has always been an only dog; we have tried to mix him in foster which he found it quite disconcerting..but is very happy to mix in the garden and on walks..again, like with children, doesn't like company too much in his face. Perhaps he was just spoilt before the kids came along. Jack is over-weight and needs to be on a strict diet..treat free..he also is very focused on food, mealtimes and the kitchen but not possessive and easily distractable.

Jack is lovely and enjoys to be talked to and loves his walks. A real cutie; loving affection. Will make someone a very happy person(s)

Jack continues to do well.

Honestly he is such a loving and friendly guy.

Still spearated from the other dogs in the house but very friendly and waggy tailed on walks.

More connected in to us again now and will go and lay day whilst eating if told in a firm voice. May come back again 3 minutes later just to check!! LOL

He is really enjoying his walks and loves to greet every person, dog, blade of grass and if for some reason person or dog ignores him he stands looking after them wagging his tail and almost saying but i am here and you didn't say hello.

He is very much trying to be part of the pack when out and runs to try and keep up with the other 2. Sadly no chance but when they stop and smell he has a little extra burst. Really doesn't stop him trying though but to give you an idea of what it is like for him imagine me trying to keep up with Zola Bud!! LOL

Really looking for a very, very loving home for Jack. His favourite way of spending time is cuddling, fussing, licking and ooohhh having his ears scratched.

Is going to make someone an incredible companion   Laughing  Laughing

What lovely pics Dee.  You can really see the breed traits in him there!

Jack is such a loving boy - so cute and cuddly.

He has now decided he prefers not to walk with Ricco and Winston. Not happy to be with them outside on walks but still continues to greet and meet every dog (no matter what size, age or energy levels) with a happy wagging tail. Not interested in playing with them but loves to say hello.

Jack has dropped a little weight too now and i think really feeling the benefit of it. He caught the scent of a fox or something yesterday and boy was he running about. So lovely to see. Pulls more on the lead now partly i think as he has more energy but also due to just sheer excitment of knowing where he is going and what he is going to find when he gets there!! LOL

He sat beautifully for 2 young children to pet him. Glad to say hello but then keen to go off and find that dratted fox.

Jack really such a companiable dog so loves company whilst not demanding your attention all the time. If you are watching TV or doing accounts he lays beautifullly near you and snores contentedly.   Laughing  Laughing

Wow what a wonderful family Jack has found.

Just one look at him and both Karen and Alan smitten.

Jack delighted with the garden so many lovely smells of visiting foxes - pure heaven.

Family very committed to helping Jack get down to a reasonable weight, so wonderful for him and he is so delighted to have them.

Had a very comfortable night (thank you very much!! LOL) got over excited with noisy Squeaky - well more noise than squeaky - so those particular toys put away for the time being!!

Has been loving his walks round his new area - stopping every so often for a little lay down and drink. Met next doors dog with his waggy tail.

Such a gorgeous lovely guy and i am so delighted that he has found such a warm and loving home. Just perfect  Laughing

Just want to say  how much Jack valued the love he received latterly. He was a wonderful dog and he has left us stunned and very saddened.
Dee

We are all feeling shocked and devastated at the outcome with Jack.

It was completely out of the blue and no-one saw this coming.

He was a very loving dog and his last 2 weeks were filled only with devoted love and care, along with lots of walks and visits out and about.

He really was a very loved little guy and will always hold a very special place in my heart.

That waggy tail .....

Run free lovely Jack xxxxx
