Honey - Staffie x Sharpei puppy (Furry Friends) Surrey

This is Honey...

She arrived tonight and is very overwhelmed by the whole experience. Sad

Two weeks ago she was rescued by a lady after she spotted some children trying to sell her on the street.
The lady got some weight on her and then handed her into rescue because she didn't really want a dog, but felt sorry for this little mite.

Honey, with her mate Frankie-Boy!!!

Honey will be first vaxed and wormed tomorrow evening.

Oh yes the sad thing is had she come into rescue 1 yr on, she may not have even been offered a rescue place from a pound!

She is very cute, but I agree with Lynne. Sad

At a year old nobody (except possibly RR!) would have even given her a second look.

However, Honey will never be in danger again as FF also insists on backup for life. Smile

Saw this little one briefly today.  Beautiful . I'm a sucker for white dogs of any size and shape.  But puppies and babies are lovely to look at  so long as someone else does the hard stuff!

My little Scream-a-pillar! I saw this once on The Simpsons and Honey was certainly very similar to this animal when she first arrived!

She screamed if we went out the room, screamed if we shut the door on her, screamed if we were eating and she wanted food, screamed if she was put on the floor after a cuddle and even screamed at my brother because he was folding up washing and wanted to be on his lap!

Things have changed now for the better!!! It had to...my brain was about to have a nervous breakdown!

After much ignoring and careful handling at exactly the right time - ie when she was nice and quiet, Honey has now learned that when she has a tantrum that people do not give her what she wants. It was literally like having a small child in the place who wanted a packet of sweets and was told no. I fully expected her to lay on the floor and kick her legs around!

Now she is sitting for her dinner and has quickly learnt that she only gets it when she is hush! We are mean humans here and all of us can ignore her when she is crying at us to pick her up. When she just sits and waits by our feet then she gets a cuddle.
In fact she has become so well behaved that when we walk into the house from outside she will st quietly in front of us and look up at us without a peep.

She is a very bright girl and has learnt alot from her brothers Frankie-Boy and Major.
They are well on their way to being cean in the house now and she is following them out into the garden to do their bits and pieces after dinner.

Honey is going to make someone a very sweet and loving girl and as long asher training is carried on properly then she should be fine.

She had alot of moving about at a very young age so I am not surprised that she is worried about people walking out on her...it has happened three times already and she is only 9 weeks old!
