Ok, firstly there is Minnie. She is my 4 yr old rescue GSP. We are her third home. She came with quite bad SA among other things, which has improved alot in the 2 years she's been here. She still has a few issues but she's a lovely girl and is top dog,,,
Then there is Ben, Cocker Spaniel. aged about 8 He came to me as a foster last year. He was an ex-breeder from a puppy farm. He was balding with mange and had an anal tumour. After all his treatment I just couldn't let him go,,,
Ben when he arrived
And Ben now,,,
I have another Cocker called Holly aged around 7. Holly was found last December dumped on the streets of Bristol after being used for breeding. What made this act so much more callous is that she is completely blind. Holly is pretty much a house dog as the outside world still terrifies her. She is a very loving and friendly girl
Lastly there is Oscar the terrorist. He came from a breeder who decided to give up breeding to become a funeral director :S He is ball-obsessed but a loveable rogue,,,

It's all the grass you ate on the last walk... I've told you about that before...
@Sal... I'd love to see them in action. I bet it's poetry.
You've made me smile at your description. I think part of the knack of having an obedient dog is knowing - as you clearly do - what sends them off... that way you issue the command *before* the distraction happens. I suspect a lot of obedience is about being in tune and anticipating stuff before it happens. It would account for why some people say this dog is perfect, walks nicely and listens to everything I say and others return having been dragged through every hedge. I think some dogs and some people just hit it off and some don't. So it's kind of a matter of finding the right pairing. It's nice when that happens though.
