Freya Patterdale older lady! (Epsom Canine Rescue) It breaks my heart to tell you little Freya went to sleep on Saturday. She had very brittle bones and suffered 2 fractures in as many months. It just wasn't fair to let her suffer. Nikki her rescuer had given Freya everything and loved her soo soo deeply.
Her thread is below:
Freya is now looking for a home as her long term foster home is no longer able to keep her due to illness. Sadly she also lost her previous owner 3 yrs ago She is a great character & would make an ideal lap companion for an older person but is not good with any other animals & has to be muzzled when out for a walk! Hence a home with a large garden would be the answer. Very affectionate, she would lie on her back all day for a fuss but is very food orientated & can hear a cake tin open miles away!!!

Here is Freya busy on her walk.
If I had no other dog..I would give this little sweet heart a home without a second glance. She is full of spirit apparently still has the labels not good with dogs or men at 13 yrs old!! I'm sure with the right man we could get the latter label redefined..oh such a character!!!!!!! Spending each and every day in a kennel what a loss for the world.

Guy & I were introduced to Freya on Sunday, & she is lovely.
I have to admit, the 'needs to be muzzled' label is a bit off-putting, & I was a little unsure what we would find.
I went in to her kennel on my own, & she came up quite happily to have her muzzle fitted. No sign of any aggression towards me at all, despite the fact that I had only just met her & was approaching with her muzzle in my hand! A very well-mannered lady.
We went out for a fairly short walk, just round the meadow, & she walked very well on the lead, and at a decent speed. She has a trick of trying to plough the ground with her muzzle, which is very cute!
To be honest, it is only now that I have come to write about her that I see she's meant to not like men.
When we were out walking, she found a really great scent (no idea what!) and stood absolutely still, nose to the ground, engrossed.
It was getting dark, so I was trying to coax her to keep moving. Guy had gone on a little way, without realising that Freya wasn't following.
As I was being so unsuccessful at getting Freya on the move again, Guy called out to her - and you would have thought he was offering her a gourmet meal, the speed she set off! She absolutely flew to see him, & walked nicely on the lead for him too.
So - a real character, come & meet her - she really isn't scary at all!

Oh yes Marg. Freya as Lynne says very affectionate and loves people ad a good cuddle but just not keen on other animals and at her age she definitely knows what she likes!!
Lovely girl, would be so lovely to find her a foster where there are no animals ad a big warm lap made for cuddling

I had the pleasure of walking Freya yesterday with Nikki - what a character (Freya that is!). She in no way shows her age and went full pelt on our short walk. A real cracker of a dog.

You only have to see Freya's pictures to know what a delightful terrier she was. She was everything I love in a terrier and always will be. Sweet little rascal.... full of magic. At last little lady you can rest.

Been keeping an eye on this girl for a long time, even though our home wasn't suitable. She looked so much like my old terrier girl.
